Chapter 48

After eating a big breakfast, Y/N and everyone was making their way to school. Everyone was talking amongst themselves aside from Sona who had a worried look on her face. After what she experienced this morning, she was very conflicted and concerned about what happened to her. The dark version of Y/N easily pledge her mind as it would be something that could not be forgotten so easily. As she walked a couple of feet behind him, she couldn't help but feel scared seeing the dark version of him. Y/N was talking with Momo and the other as he smiled. However, when he smiled, the dark version appeared as he gave an evil grin at her causing the feeling of fear to utterly overwhelm her. Rias saw this as she placed a hand on her shoulder causing her to stop.

Rias: Sona, what's wrong?

Sona snapped out of it as she looked at Rias.

Sona: I-It's nothing, Rias.

Rias knew that she was lying and wasn't believing her. Tsubaki saw this as she stopped and faced them while the others continued to go on ahead.

Tsukabi: Is something wrong?

Rias: Tsubaki, can you go with the others? I need to talk to Sona alone.

Tsubaki looked at her for a moment then at Sona. She noticed that Sona had a bit of a scared look in her eyes.

Tsubaki: Alright.

She walked ahead in order to rejoin Akeno and the others. After they left their sight, Rias turned to face her as Sona was still scared.

Rias: What's wrong Sona? Something happened to make you like this, so what was it?

Sona stayed quiet as he pulled out a dark scale that got her attention.

Rias: A scale?

Sona: That's right. It's one of Y/N's scales.

Rias saw how dark it was along with a dark ominous feeling from it.

Rias: Where did you find this?

Sona: I found this on the floor in his room. However, when I picked it up, I witness something....awful.

Rias: Awful? Said in a curious manner.

Sona nodded as she recalled those moments causing her body to shake.

Sona: It brought me to some kind of field where I saw Y/N's darker self.

An image of the dark Y/N grinning maliciously utterly scaring her. The surroundings changed as the dark Y/N stood behind Rias with a devilish smile.

Dark Y/N: You will die, by hands you worthless bitch.

Seeing this, her body quickly trembled in fear. Her heart started to beat faster and faster as her breathing became more difficult. Rias saw this as Sona slowly started to hyperventilate as she placed her hands on her shoulders

Rias: Clam down Sona. It's alright.

Sona slowly stopped shaking as her breathing was a bit heavy.

Sona: I-I'm sorry.

Rias: It's alright. It wasn't real.

Sona: No, Rias. It felt utterly real. Said as she placed her hand on her cheek. Even the slap I received from him.

Rias: What exactly happened?

Sona didn't say anything as she was too scared to say anything about it. Seeing this, Rias couldn't help but feel utterly worried about what she was feeling.
