Buzz Kill - 2

(Autumn's POV)

"Okay what's wrong with you? You love hot coco, you would never turn it down." North questioned.
...

"Get her a bottle of my coconut water." Charun orders before disappearing up stairs with Anuson.

"Let's start with what's with the suitcase and why are you here so late and unannounced?" North sat beside me on the couch as he hands me the bottle of coconut water.

"Mum kicked me out." I start crying again.

"Why would she do that?" North sounded more angry at mum than in disbelief at my statement.

"Because I'm a bad influence for June." I sniffed.

"Take your time, have some water." North soothed me as he rubbed my back.

I take a moment to breath and drink some water trying to stay calm and keep my blood pressure down for my baby's sake.

"Why would she think your a bad influence you haven't got a bad bone in your body you even called Mike to leave your 18th birthday party earlier because you were uncomfortable." North reminds me of my birthday and the memories of that night came flooding back.

*Daydreaming*
"Karn, I'm not sure about this." I try to get my 20-year-old friend, Karn's, attention as we walk up to the door of her house on a cold September 22nd.

Karn's parents were out of town so she asked if she could throw me a birthday party at her house, of course her parents don't know Karn is the rebellious type so they agreed, my parents don't know ether and Karn is the daughter of my dad's boss so he forced me to go.

"Don't be a wuss, try it, if you're still uncomfortable in 20 minutes you can leave." Karn huffed as she dragged me inside.

"Guys the birthday girl's here!" Karn shouts over the music blaring so loud through the house that I could feel the ground shaking.

I scan my surroundings in a blind panic, people were dancing provocatively in the living room with a small group playing some game in the living room, there were people drinking and pouring drinks in the kitchen and some poor guy was being held upside down on top of this barrel with a hose in his mouth.

"Chug! chug!! chug!!!" People screamed.

"What are you doing?! Put him down!" I yelled.

The boy was let go and as he came down some people cheered whilst others booed. I rushed to his side worrying if he was alright.

"Oh my god, are you okay?" I panicked.

"Relxe girl, it's a game, the only thing wrong with me right now is you killing my buzz." The boy shook his head at me and walked off.

"Babe you're friend needs to chill, she's such a buzz kill." The boy went straight to Karn who I guess is his girlfriend.

Karn just shot me a disapproving look "You'll have to forgive Autumn Hiran, this is her first party." Then she disappeared with The guy.

It wasn't even 10 minutes yet but I already wanted to leave so I ran out into the garden to call my 27-year-old boyfriend, Mike.

Mike and I had known each other my whole life because He's North's best friend, he was there when my mum told my brother he was gonna be a big brother, he's watched me grow into the woman I am today.

Since the day I was old enough to know what a crush was I knew I had a crush on my big brothers best friend.

I finally told him when I was 13 but He was 23 at the time and saw me as nothing more than his best friends little sister who he respected and would beat up anyone who dares hurt me.

Little did ether of us know then that when I turned 16 he would have discovered that his brotherly protectiveness was misinterpreted jealousy.

Because I was so young we decide to only tell our parents and our siblings about our relationship to avoid judgement until I was 18 and we were both legally adults.

"Mike?" I asked as he answered his phone.

"Yes birthday girl, It's me, is everything alright?" Mike began to worry.

"Can you please come to get me? I'm scared. I don't fit in here. Karn left me. I'm all alone. I don't know any of these people." I began to cry.

"Baby relax, I'm on my way as fast as I can. Stay on the phone with me okay?" Mike instructs.

"Okay." I sniff.

"What was your favourite birthday present?" Mike made small talk as he made his way to me.

"I'd say my knight in shining armour because all though you haven't bought me a gift having you as a boyfriend is the best gift I could have asked for." I smiled.

"Who said I didn't buy you anything?" Mike asked.

"I didn't see it with my other presents this morning, did my mum lose it? I hope it wasn't expensive, I'll find it when I get home I promise." I panicked, I am the worst girlfriend ever.
