Beautiful Co-star - 6

(Autumn's POV)

I must have taken too long to think because after letting out an impatient huff Amnuai quickly ripped the phone from my grasp
...

"I'm your support system now." Amnuai handed me back my phone with a smile.

We went to the counter together and she took the test from my hands and placed it on the counter after thanking me for carrying it.

"My husband is a little to eager to make Adun a big brother." She beamed awkwardly at the cashier.

"Good luck Amnuai." The cashier wished after she scanned the tests and various baby foods along with teething gell and a pacifier.

Amnuai carried the bag out of the store and asked me if I wanted her to go with me or if I was alright alone.

I told her Mike wouldn't be long even though it was a lie because I didn't want her to know Mike was the father, his reputation is on the lie if I let anyone know especially someone I don't know.

She handed me the test, I hide them in my handbag, paid her and we parted ways. Suddenly I could smell the most amazing food so I follow my nose on the way home trying to sniff out the food.

When I finally found the source of the smell I was surprised to see how far it was, I could normally never sniff that out from how far I was.

Maybe I'm turning into a werewolf, I giggle at my own joke causing the vendor to look at me strangely "Can I help you Miss?" The vendor asked.

"Yes can I have one vegan Thai basil fried rice to go please." I had been craving it all day.

"Of course Miss, anything else?" The vendor asked.

"One porridge and clear soup also to go please." I ordered Mike's favourite for him.

"Is that all miss?" The vendor asked.

"Yes thank you" I smiled.

Luckily where Mike was filming today was near his apartment because I decide to bring him the food I bought so we could have lunch together but I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw him talking with one of his beautiful co-star.

"Miss Suksamran, are you looking for Mr Suksamran? I'm afraid to say he's not scheduled to film today." Charun sighed.

Even though Charun is my sister-in-law when she's at work she is full professional mode, she has no tolerance for informalities or meaningless small talk when there is work to be done, she is a well oiled machine.

"Actually nevermind, could you give this to Mr Siriphongchawalit for me." I changed my mind quickly.

I knew North would have told her about Mike and I by now, it had been 2 years already and Charun and I were so close, North didn't like us keeping secrets from each other, we were like sisters.

"I see, I will give this to him as soon as he's done filming for lunch." Charun smiled taking Mike's food as I hand her the carrier bag after removing my food.

I rush home to re-heat my lunch in the microwave before Mike sees me I really didn't want to see him right now.

I knew Mike was working and not cheating on me but I didn't want him to persuade me to stay because I still didn't feel well and I didn't want to worry him or get him sick if this was really just a bad case of food poisoning.

When I get to Mike's front door I take off my trainers and dig for the spare key to Mike's apartment, that he gave me, in my handbag.

When I finally get it I yank it out with an "Aha!" Which is admittedly probably why Mike's neighbours think I'm crazy and hate me.

I open the door and step inside before sliding into my slippers I keep by the door beside Mike's. I shuffle my feet lazily towards the microwave and put my food in.

I get just about enough time to put my food on before I had to rush to the bathroom with my first pregnancy test since I was already bursting for the toilet again.

After I peed on the stick thing I placed it on the bathroom counter so it could have time to work whilst I eat. I left the bathroom and went to grab my lunch from the microwave before sitting at the table across from where Mike usually sat.

An overwhelming sense of loneliness came over me and I started to cry again, my eyes burned as tears rolled down my face. I wanted to call Mike and ask him to come home so badly but I knew that would be selfish of me.

If Mike was home right now he'd probably have me on bedrest surrounded by Detective Conan comic books and covered in blankets whilst he feeds me Thai massaman curry with sweet potatoes and tofu.

In all my adult life I could never eat meat whilst I was sick, probably due to the childhood trauma of being force fed chicken soup whenever I was sick.

As I thought of what Mike would do if he was home he called me as if he seansed I needed him and I was suddenly faced with a decision, answer the phone or let it go to voice mail.
