This some Bullshit!

Decided this was gathering dust In my drafts.

When Naofumi turned 30 he had lost in life and won in the waves.

His wife and mother of his children, Raphtalia Iwatani, had died during the final wave and the other heros had fucked off to their dimensions.

His children were attacked by the Trash Kings Loyalists and In his rage a shield that hasn't unlocked in years had appeared.

Shield of Vengeance X

Naofumi had burned the world to the ground. He had leveled every country, crushed every skull and the very waters of the land were blood.

Then when he finally had nothing left to burn he was greeted by a notification. A kill number showed up.

The entire population. A menu appeared with a choice.

Restart?

Yes or no?

Naofumi had just thought about Raphtalia and the Menu had picked Yes.

"Wait no! Go back!"

Naofumi was falling from the sky. He readied his shield to land.

Naofumi looked around and saw... the waves...Lurolona Village?

He saw a dog in the distance and a small form fall off.

Naofumi ran to fight the giant dog and two demi's were already in its jaws.

"Shield Prison!" Naofumi screamed "Change Shield!"

A Iron Maiden had appeared and Naofumi had actually kicked the ball into the torture device.

He had switched to his strongest medical shield and grabbed the bodies.

"Divine Intervention!" Naofumi tried his goto healing spell in the final few waves.

Nothing.

"Phoenix Light!"

"Blessing of saints!" He kept trying every spell he could.

"Fast Heal!" Naofumi screamed grasping at straws.

Naofumi had felt the life drain from their bodies.

"Please...come on! You have a daughter don't leave her alone." Naofumi was screaming.

They were dead.

Naofumi growled. He couldn't spare this Raphtalia the pain of losing her parents.

Naofumi turned and saw the other monsters.

"I order the laws of nature and magic. Misty Forest. Change Shield!" Naofumi shouted as the entire town was covered in forest and his Rope Shield appeared on his arm.

"I am Naofumi Iwatani. God and Devil will judge your sins. Let the weight of sin be your undoing...Satan's Gallows."

The trees turned from lush to barron and rope attached to everything that moved in the town.

Naofumi turned his thumb down and every monster died.

The forest disappeared and Naofumi was running to find anyone.

The remaining adults had thanked him for his help and he found 3 children who's family's didn't survive the wave.

The three looked to him and he had a switch flip in his head. The time he thought of Raphtalia as his daughter.

"I'm sorry about your parents." Naofumi said kneeling and hugging the three.

"Are you the shield hero?" Keel asked.

"That...is a different question to answer." Naofumi said "But something I can tell you is this... I'll protect you three. I'll give you everything I have. I'll teach you everything I know. I'll help you grow to be the best you can."

'Why the fuck couldn't the world just stop taking shit from me?!'

The three hugged him back.
