Sophie smiled down the aisle at Keefe, with Grady on one of her arms, floating under the petals of Calla's tree.
As a way to honor her history, she had brought some human customs into her wedding, such as her dad walking her down the aisle.
As she walked, she looked around at each of her friends.
She saw something surprising - Dex and Linh, Dex looking nervous, Linh looking happy. Sophie wondered if it had anything to do with the way that their hands were gripping each other.
She caught Fitz's eye and he smiled. He had been really supportive of her and Keefe's relationship. He was, of course, super shocked and surprised - and not entirely happy about it, though he mostly hid that for her sake, but he had come around in the end.
He smiled ardently at her, and she was glad that he was happy for her.
Sophie reached Keefe, and they took each other's hands, Keefe stroking her knuckles slightly.
Sophie watched as Wynn and Luna trotted up, bringing them the rings, and she laughed.
Keefe had told her that he would handle the rings, and their arrival, and that she'd like it, but he'd kept it a surprise.
He was right; she did enjoy it.
"Are you ready?" He whispered.
She nodded. "For now and for always."
