"Tell me about these Beverly girls." Coop spoke as she got close to Spencer to listen intently. Spencer had just finished his first day at Beverly and he came back to vent to his two best friends. Obsidian nodded, giving Spencer's stomach a quick pat in agreement. Spencer laughed at their antics.

  "They skinny." Spencer spoke.

"Skinny?" Obsidian asked furrowing her eyebrows together in confusion. She had expected him to describe them as hot or rich but not skinny.

"Like bread skinny?" Coop asked to which Spencer lost it to. He started laughing loudly while Obsidian got annoyed with their stupidity. She was quick to notice Shawn and his boys approach them. She squeezed Spencer's arm which caused him to look up and see their up coming threat.

"Can I help you Mr. Beverly Hills?" Shawn spoke mockingly. Her brother was quick to get defensive.

"Ayo. Leave them alone Shawn." Spencer threatened. Coop and Obsidian sat on the bench they were on, glued to their seats.

  "Or what?" Shawn challenged.

"Or I remind you of that beat down I gave you in the sixth grade." Spencer clapped back, to which Shawns friends got closer. The group started stepping closer which frightened Obsidian. She couldn't watch him get into another fight.

"Try it again. See what happens." Shawn muttered.

"Maybe I will." Spencer said, moving up to begin the fight. Obsidian was quick to jump out of her seat and run up to her brother but before any brawl could break out, a police siren whirled through the air. The boys turned to the cop was watching them in the parking lot over and decided to back off.

"Watch your back Beverly. Your friends ain't got you to protect them no more. Especially your twin sis." Shawn threatened and blew Obsidian a kiss, before leaving the trio alone. The female twin knew she didn't have her brothers protection anymore but now she realized the severity of how much danger she was really in.

The next morning, Obsidian has woken up to a loud music blasting in front of her house. She looked out her window and saw a boy in a sharp red car that looked to cost at least twenty grand.

"Um. Why is there a boy parked in a fire red car in front of our house." She said as she left her room, laughing a bit at the boy who was looking afraid of her neighbors across the street.

"It's my ride. Pool Party." Spence said peering out the windows as well. He gave a small smile at the car before grabbing his bag.

"Damn. Tell him to give me a spin next time he's in town." Obsidian said. She hadn't realized how bad that sounded until Spence gave her a terrified expression. "Ew. God no. The car, spence. I'd rather take out his sister if he had one. Promise you that. Have fun at your pool party though." He was quick to laugh off his misunderstanding before waving a quick goodbye and heading out the door.

Obsidian watched her brother as he sped off with the boy and couldn't help but feel a small pang of jealously. She hated herself for feeling bitter at her brother's success but seeing him go from cold water showers to multi jet jacuzzi's was not that fun to watch. Especially when she was stuck taking his place. But it was just something she'd have to do, and she was okay with it.

While Spencer lived the luxury, many towns over, Obsidian was at Crenshaw High hanging in the courtyards after school with Coop. But she wouldn't trade hanging with her best friend for anything, no matter the price.

"Can you believe Spence is at Beverly right now?" Coop spoke as she threw a grape into Obsidians mouth. She caught it and shook her head.

  "Definitely still surreal." She agreed.

"Think he's hooking up with girls yet?" Coop smirked. Obsidian dramatically dragged and tried to desperately demolish the image that had gone to her head. She couldn't count the amount of times she had walked into Spencer on top of a girl. Traumatic to say the least.

"Lord. Please protect me from seeing that shit ever again." Obsidian said looking up at the sky.

"Haha. Man. He's prolly got all them rich girls on his lap. A girl can only dream." Coop dreamily said.

"Ima have to agree with you on that one." Obsidian said bluntly causing Coop to fall backwards onto the table laughing. Obsidian and Spencer had known coop since forever. They had met on the playground in elementary. Some boys were picking on Coop, so Spencer had decided to pick a fight with them while Obsidian distracted Coop and made her feel better. Coop was practically her sister.

"Kay. What about you? What about Shawn? I ain't here to protect you or Obsidian." Spencer argued. Him and Coop had been going back and forth for what felt like forever. Spencer had been having doubts about not being in Crenshaw. It was just him and Coop talking at the basketball courts because Obsidian was busy watching Dillon at home.

"Listen that dude is all talk. I got that handled. I promise you he backed off." Coop said convincingly.

"Listen. If I had one tenth of your talent, i'd say forget this place and bounce. Think about Dillon. Your moms. Obsidian most importantly! She needa big brother to look up to."

"We're twins Coop." Spencer blandly corrected. Coop realized her mistake but didn't feel like fixing it.

"I don't care. You could give them another life bro. A better one!" Coop argued back. "And when you living your best life. Rocking it in that super bowl confetti. You gonna think how your homie Coop set your straight. You also gonna see Obsidian screaming bloody murder in the stands but that's not the point." Coop said.

Spencer laughed as he imagined his sister cheering for him in the stands. The big ones. Where his family would all be front row. That was his dream. He could just imagine Dillon being on Obsidians back, wearing Spencer's jersey, while his mother held popcorn in her left hand and her old ass tape recorder in her right. How he would tell her to stop filming while he practiced but she never would. Obsidian would probably sneak to practices and hide in the stands too. He bathed in that fantasy. However this time, it was going to become his reality.
