TW: blood

Lunchtime rolled around and the halls were filled with a bunch of depressed teenagers and B.O. Richie was the last to exit the classroom rummaging through the kids in the halls trying to get to lunch as fast as he could to avoid any human interaction. He felt that feeling again.....that feeling of eyes burning into his head. He wasn't going to look up this time to face the faces of others so he kept his head down and started walking faster. With his head down he didn't see Henry and his goons sitting at the door way of the lunch room. Henry stuck his foot out and Richie tripped right over it falling flat on his face. He winced in pain when his nose bounced off the floor holding it with his hands. It was silent before the cafeteria irrupted in laughter. Richie sat up looking around at the giggling faces of the people who are circling Richie and whispering to their friends. Richie felt like he couldn't breath his whole body was shaking he felt as if he could just die right there. Richie hated having eyes on him but he craved attention but not this kind. He saw teachers coming so he booked it out the door tears rolling down his cheeks. He just kept running not stopping until he collapsed. He bursted through the school doors running towards the woods until he heard a voice yelling behind him he kept running thinking it was one of the teachers but the voice sounded familiar so stopped at a tree panting and looking up to see a small boy. He was a whole lot shorter than Richie. He had short curly hair it was chocolate brown, his eyes were a hazel color, freckles all over his nose and cheeks. His skin was a little darker than Richies. He was wearing short khaki shorts and a blue polo shirt with a grey jacket. Richie always observed people well. That's how he remembered them not by their names.

"Hey Richie wait up!" The boy called out
"What do you want?" Richie said sniffling his nose and wiping the tears from his eyes and face.
"I just wanted to see if you were ok." He paused for a second looking at the blood on Richies hands and that was now on the side of his cheeks and coming out of his nose.
"Jesus Christ you have blood every where!" He unzipped the pocket on the Fanny pack that sat on the boys waist.  He took out a packet of medical wipes and ripped the top and took out a wipe and stepped closer to Richie reaching a hand up to Richie's face causing Richie to flinch. A small frown sat on the boys face.
"Um sorry, is it ok if I clean up your face?" The small boy asked.
Richie nodded slowly looking into the boys eyes.
"Here come sit on this tree stump so I can reach you better." The boy guided Richie to the stump and helped him sit down because one of the lenses on Richies glasses were broken. He was legally blind so if one of his lenses were broken he could barely see anything.
"I'm Eddie by the way."
"Uh yea I think I've seen you around"
"Cool cool."
"Yea cool."
"I'm Richie and you already knew that."
Eddie giggled softly and Richie blushed.
"It's ok don't be embarrassed."
Eddie smirked and even know one of his lenses were broken he could still see the smile on Eddie's face.
"Are you smiling at me Ed's?"
"No your seeing things Richie you were stumbling through the halls like a drunk monkey and don't call me ed's." Eddie said in an annoyed tone but really he loved being called Ed's by Richie. He thought it was cute. He slid the glasses carefully off of Richies nose trying not to hurt him.
"Okay I really can't see ya now Ed's you just look like a blob now"
"Shut up Richie and let me clean you up."
Richie smiled big at the thought of getting on Eddie's nerves he thought it was so cute. Eddie just blushed he loved the look of the smile on his face. He carefully wiped the blood of the sides of Richies face and under his nose. He held Richies chin as he wiped the blood off of the pale boys face. Them both blushing at the feeling of each other's touch.
Eddie held Richies face in his hands and put a huge bandage over the cut on Richies cheek. Richie look up and smiled. Eddie took his hand and smoothed over the bandage smiling at his work.
"There" Eddie said.
"Give me your hand."
Richie lifted up his arm and Eddie took Richies wrist into his hands and carefully scrubbed the dry blood off of his hands.
"Give me your other hand"
Eddie did the same thing on that hand before letting go they slowly slid their hands across each other's slowly brushing their fingers up against one another's hands before departing. Eddie took his hands and brushed the curls in front of Richies face out of the way and slid Richies glasses back onto his face. Richie slightly smiling being able to see Eddie a little bit better. They sat staring into each other's eyes until Richie broke the silence.
"Thanks Ed's for fixing me up" Richie said in a terrible English accent.
Eddie rolled his eyes and laughed.
"You're welcome rich"
"Oh so I'm rich now?"
"Hey if you can have an annoying nickname for me I can have one for you." Eddie said pointing his finger in Richies face.
Richie laughed throwing his head back and Eddie putting his down in laughter.
"No but seriously thank you for coming out here and checking on me."
"No problem hey would you like to come hang with me and my friends today after school or do you have something else to do."
"Hold on let me check I'm pretty booked ya know with all of the friends I have in all." Richie said pulling out an imaginary calendar.
Eddie laughed and rolled his eyes
"Welp it looks like I'm free today so I guess so."
"Jesus Rich you are something else I tell ya."
"I know right?!" Richie said as he stood up and ruffled Eddie's hair.
Eddie slapped Richies hand.
"Seriously!"
"Sorry Eddie spaghetti didn't mean to mess up your hair!"
"Wha- what the fuck kind of nickname was that?! Eddie spaghetti?"
"Yeah what do ya think?"
"Just...just shut up rich."
Richie laughed quietly and put arm on Eddie's shoulder. Eddie smiled and kept staring at the school as they were walking towards it he could feel Richies gaze on him but he just kept walking.

When Richie was with Eddie he felt different than he ever did with anyone else. Richie had never had a friend before his parents didn't let him out much and he had a hard time with meeting new people so he just stuck to himself. But when he was Eddie it was so easy to talk too and joke around with him. He felt comfortable with Eddie. He felt like he was safe to say anything or do anything without the feeling of being judged and Richie hadn't felt that way since his grandmother was still alive. Richie let out a sigh of relief no reason just the feeling of Eddie being underneath his arm. Jesus they just met but it felt like they had known each for years. It's just like they were meant to be together forever.

Sorry I lied lmao. I decided to right another chapter tonight because I have school tomorrow and I might not have much time to write. I will mostly be writing at night when I have time, so most of the time chapters will be coming out later in the evening. I will try and at least have a chapter or two a day. And thank you for 38 reads! I know it may not be many but it means a lot :) hope you all enjoyed this chapter sorry if the grammar is terrible I'm pretty lazy but I try to do my best. Remember to leave your opinions in the comments. Love y'all.
