Chapter 2

Fate has its' way

No! I don't want to die!!!

My life flashed before my eyes as my last few words escaped my quivering lips, that's when everything went black.......

I woke up and my head felt like it was hit by a thousand needles,
I tried adjusting my eyes but everything was blurred out, a couple of seconds later I could finally see, I adjusted my eyes to my surroundings and realized where I was. I was in a hospital bed. "How in the hell did I get here?" I asked myself confused.

"Glad that your awake Ms. Diamond" spoke an unfamiliar voice. I turned my head to the sound and I felt as if my heart jumped out of my chest,
I was just about to scream for my life when a hand clasped over my mouth.
"I don't think that's a very wise choice, if you wanna live you best stay quiet, am I clear" the stranger said with threat in his voice.

I shook my head slowly eyes shaking with fear , he let go. I took a deep breathe and calmed myself. There, standing beside my bed was a tall and slender man. His attire was all black as he was wearing a fine suit with a top hat. Strange as it was, he was also wearing a joker mask, it looked creepy as if he could attack at any moment. The very sight of him sent goosebumps all over my body. There was one corner of the mask in which you could see his crimson ruby eyes.
They could pierce you dead with a single Stare.

"So,.... Who are you?" I spoke up with a simple question. his eye rolled to meet with mine, a sweat dropped.

"Human, should you not introduce yourself before you question someone else" he portrayed a cold stare, I could feel the room harden. "L-lucy, nice to meet you" I extended my hand as a formal greeting. He stared at it for a couple of seconds before making eye contact with me, he then finally decided to return the shake as it was proper manners to do so.

Gulping 
I examined him further as my eye caught sight of something pointy, I led my eyes around the object interpreting its' shape, as I shortly realized that the sharp and pointy object was indeed a sythe.
Scythe!!?
I think I may have just blacked out again. My eyes flickered opened shortly after as the first thing my eyes contacted with was the man's joker mask, centimetres away from my face, I yelped and in the process fell off my bed due to the shock, bumping my head on the cold, hard floor. I heard a Snicker in the corner of my ear.

"Hey! What's so funny?" I say with anger swelling as I stood up.

" Oh nothing much, just the fact that you humans are amusing to watch, glad I'm not one of you"

What is this dude saying? In a confused manner I questioned the silly man "what do you mean? You're not human, of course you are what else would you be then?" 

"Something apart from human then" the man said bluntly.

(⊙_◎) " what did you just say?" I ask trying to clean my ears so that this time I was certain that I must have misheard him.

" I'm not human" he says as blunt as ever.

" You're not human?" I ask with a trace of sarcasm, raising an eyebrow. " If your not human then what are you ?" I sat on my bed crossing my arms as I felt that I was being played at with by this stranger.
His cold hard stares were enough for my soul to escape my body, yet the nonsense he was spouting disapointed even me.

"It is what it is" he says shrugging his shoulders, I give him a look,  he sighs. "I'm am immortal being, my name is Reaper Darkens as you can tell by the sythe I kill people"
