Strange encounters

" I think I'll do it Mr reaper, I'll join you" as I say that, I lift my head up to see that he had dissapeared.

"Mr Reaper?" I call, but no answer returned.

Lucy stood up, she walked to the window depressed, another one had left her alone. The sun was nearly down. She peered through the window and rested her chin on her small and skinny pale hands,

no temperature....

Her body was as cold as ice.
She put two fingers on her wrist hoping that this was all just in her imagination, and even though she knew what to expect, the very thought still horrified her.

No pulse,

meaning.......

no life.

She sighed. What to do now, as what.....
a wondering soul? As she was lost wondering her mind, She caught glimpse of something. It was Mr Reaper.

She called out to him, but he did not seem to hear nor notice. She quickly ran to the door and opened it, 'wait this door didn't budge before, what happened now?' she questioned but quickly ignored it.

She ran down the stairs as quickly as she could and finally reached the front doors. That's when she realized that she was bare foot and wearing a hospital gown. "how did I not realize this before!" she shouted in irritation.

She didn't want to waste anymore time, Mr Reaper could be long gone by now. She took a deep breath and slowly put her feet on the cold hard floor, she didn't feel anything.
No pain,
no cold,
no hardness of the rocky floor.

She started walking to where she last saw Mr Reaper, and looked around at each direction.
"I think he went this way" she ran to a sign post with a 'no smoking' 🚭 sign.

She saw a glimpse of Mr Reaper turning a corner. She ran towards the direction and when she turned the corner there was no one there. "What's going on? Lucy compared this situation as one in movies, when you are in pursuit of someone and turn the corner of which they did, to see that no one is there as if they never turned that corner, a mirror image even.

There were two choices, turn on the left or right. The right led to a very busy street, while the left was more spooky and dark. A sweat dropped, the right was obviously the better choice.

As Lucy walked closer to the busy streets, she could hear a strange sound coming from somewhere. She halted, "what was that?" She turned her head to the left and saw a small figure. She yelped and fell on her back.

Soon her eyes adjusted to the figure, it was a small child. The gender unknown. A small girl perhaps. She was wearing a doll like dress, her hair was curly and in two pony tails tied with pink ribbons. The girl was quite cute and adorable, in her right hand she was holding a teddy bear. It looked quite familiar to Lucy, she couldn't quite place where. She looked at the girl, her adorable face was being tainted with tears.

"W-whats wrong?" Lucy asked. The girl looked at her weeping and sniffling.

"N-no one w-wants to play w-with meeee, waaah!" She swept out in a loud cry.

Lucy didn't know what to do, she had never dealt with children before. "Why won't anyone play with you?" She asked.

"I-i don't know!" She cried louder. Lucy covered her ears because it was soo loud.

"T-then why don't I play with you" Lucy blurted out, what else was she supposed to say. She couldn't leave a helpless kid out at this time of day.
