Chapter 4

Strange encounters

She walked out the corner and looked at the hallway. There were a lot of doors, she's walked for about a minute and that's when she heard footsteps coming her way. She quickly rushed and opened the nearest door and entered it.

Lucy was in bitter darkness, she peered though the door and saw a Lady with a beautiful dress, it was red and it reached all the way to her toes, she as also wearing a black mask. Walking along side the young lady was presumed to be a butler. He was also wearing a black mask.

"Madam, the party it about to begin" the butler spoke.

"I know, do you have the lad ready?" She asked the butler.

"Yes, he is unconscious in the dressing room, I am ready to bring him out at your command"

"Good, he'll have a hefty price, that lad" she laughed as she rubbed her hands almost feeling the money in her grimy hands.

When the footsteps dissapeared Lucy slumped down the wall, her eyes widened with shock. She was on the verge of vomiting.

This was disgusting, the conversation between the two disgusted her. They were selling slave kids. And there was one in this very room.
She used her hand to locate the light switch, it took her a couple of seconds when she finally found it.

Lucy took no hesitation and started to look for the boy, she had to get him out of here or he would be sold. She looked through every corner of the room and after ten minutes of searching she came across the only thing she didn't look through, the wardrobe. Lucy gulped and opened it.

There sitting hands tied and mouth taped was a young boy with dark brown hair, even though he was tied his eyes were practically glaring at her , it could pierce a man dead.
'He probably woke up some time after being checked by the butler'

Lucy was hesitant but untapped his mouth.

"get your filthy hands off of me!" He shouted.

"Calm down, I'm not here to hurt you" she said.

"Like I would believe that"

"It's true, I overheard the conversation between a lady and her butler, are you the boy that's being sold?"

"And what if I am?"

"I'm here to save you"

"How can I trust your words?"

"I don't know, but just trust me, I won't harm you"

He glared at me with distrust.
"Alright, but only if you untie me...."

"Okay" Lucy untied the boy and that's when the boy took his chance and grabbed her hands and pushed her on the ground, making her unable to move.

"Hey, what are you doing!" She exclaimed while struggling to break free.

"Don't blame me, I need to get away from you people as soon as possible"

"Like I said I'm not one of them"

"I can't trust your words stranger"

"Look, I need to get you out of here and look for Mr Reaper"

"Mr Reaper?, Who's that"

"His full name is actually Reaper Darkens, I just met him recently and...."

"Did you say Reaper Darkens, as in the Reaper Darkens!" He exclaimed.

"Y-yeah, I think so?" Lucy replies in confusion.

"Why are you looking for him though" he glared at me.
