Another two days passed smoothly, you were enjoying your classes, the other girl's were slowly warming up to you and you them, and you'd been practicing and working with Cordelia pretty often. She was amazing, more powerful than you'd ever seen. So one day you asked "Miss Cordelia? You're, like, really powerful, obviously. So are you that Supreme that I've heard of?" Cordelia only smiled and shook her head; "No. That would be my mother. She's a...case. But I haven't seen her for a very long time." You hummed, still working on the plants in front of you as you thought. "Oh. Okay. What's she like?" You said, glancing from the plant to Cordelia. There were a few moments of silence while the woman contemplated on how to answer that question, but eventually she spoke up. "Honestly, my mother is not all that nice. A pretty shitty Supreme too."

You giggled at the blonde's words; Cordelia wasn't one to swear much, so you knew that she was telling the truth. Not that you'd ever think she was lying, but still. "Well that sucks. So if your mom sucks, how'd you turn out so well?" You questioned, looking down which meant you didn't see the blush that bloomed on the woman's cheeks at the simple praise. "Oh, she didn't raise me. As soon as she could she dumped me here and Myrtle pretty much became a mother. She's been a better one than Fiona ever was anyway." She mumbled, busying herself with cleaning one of her lilies. Again you hummed in thought; "That's a pretty name. But yeah, Myrtle totally seems really motherly to you. I saw that the first night I was here, you know? At dinner. She just had this...look on her face when she watched you."

Cordelia chuckled and nodded, knowing what you meant. "Yes, she does that often," she mumbled, grasping her small pile of dead stems and leaves and discarding them in the compost bin. Just as she pulled back you walked over to her side and mumbled "Can you hold that for me please?" The woman glanced down at your handful of collected leaves and smiled softly, holding the lid open carefully, allowing you to throw the stuff in. When she closed the lid her hands accidentally brushed yours as you pulled back and you giggled. Cordelia flushed slightly and quickly retracted her hands, brushing them together to get rid of any excess dirt. And with that she said "Well I think we've been in here quite a while. Do you want to head in and get anything to eat? I'm sure you're thirsty, at least."

You hummed and brushed past her and to her section of the table, bending over to inspect her plants. In the nature of teasing, she did the same to yours, biting her lip to hide her smile. You huffed, standing back up and mumbling "You're way too good at this. I can never find, like, any mistakes. That is so not fair." Cordelia laughed, also standing up from hiding behind the flowers and replied "I've been like this for a while, dear, I know what I'm doing." She saw the blush that crept up your neck a bit at the little endearment, and smiled slyly. "Yes well, still not fair. I've been doing this for practically my whole life, and I still can't get every single little piece of dead stuff." You pouted, sticking your tongue out playfully at Cordelia, making the woman giggle again.

"Come on now, we should go in for a bit," she finally said, once again returning to your side the table and grasping your hand gently, pulling you out of the greenhouse against your will, making you grumble behind her under your breath. Again she chuckled, weaving around her things; she had forgotten to fix that vine. "We should probably clean that up," you mumbled, finally catching up with Cordelia and not forcing her to half drag you away. The woman hummed in agreement, saying "I was planning on doing that before, but I suppose I got distracted and forgot." You snickered at her tendency for forgetfulness. You had yet to let go of her hand, so you absentmindedly fiddled with her fingers, running your thumb over her knuckles without even realizing you were doing it.

You were preoccupied with walking and speaking with Cordelia, so you didn't notice what your hands were doing. But Cordelia did. And it distracted her a bit, making her stumble over a stray stone outside the greenhouse. You were quick to catch her, carefully helping her back on her feet before releasing her. You also removed your hand from hers, which made her frown a bit, but when you asked if she was alright she nodded and smiled weakly. The two of you continued towards the Academy, staying mostly silent. Though it was a comfortable silence, not awkward or tense at all, like most of your time together. You were both comfortable with each other, open to new topics of conversation. Some about personal life, what you did before the Academy, how Cordelia managed to keep up with a whole school, even if there weren't many witches in it yet, all that.
