Bryce's POV
Thank God it wasn't Addi that came down here. After 20 minutes they still couldn't get monty's heart to restart. "Time of death 05:17" One of the doctors said before putting away the heart defibrillators and walking out.

"Wait. I need to tell her. From anyone else she'll start screaming. Please. Let me tell her." I begged the doctors. "I'm sorry son but it's my job and if I was allowed to let you I would but I have to. We walked up the stairs together.

"Addi. Can you come out here for a second?" I asked her with a sleeping Lucas snuggled into her side. She came out of the room and leaned into me to hear what the doctor had to say.

"Addison, your father went into cardiac arrest about half an hour ago. We did everything we could but nothing helped. I'm really sorry but your father has passed." Right as he said that Addison started crying again. She fell to her knees and we bawling. The doctor just walked away.

I picked her up and brought her into Enzo's room so Lucas wouldn't wake up. I placed her down in my lap and she cried into my shirt. I let her cry for a few minutes until I heard Lucas asking where we went. "Addi. You have to be strong now. We have to go with Lucas. We have to tell him." She wiped her tears away and stood up. I pulled her into one more reassuring hug before we made our way to his room.

Sitting up, Lucas's eyes followed us all the into the room until we sat down on both sides of the bed. "Why were you crying, Addi? Why are you sad?" He asked with his sweet little innocent eyes looking into her broken soul. "Well, Lucas. Um, when something bad happens to someone you love you get really sad right?" She started. He gave a nod. "Lucas, Dad- Daddy pas- I cant tell him." She leaned into me.

"Come here Lucas." I told him with open arms. He sat in my lap and I wrapped one arm around both of them. "Lucas, what Addi was trying to tell you, is that Daddy passed away today." He immediately curled up into a little ball and started crying in my lap.

"Ms. Easterling, your mother is awake." The nurse came into the room. She looked at me. "Go on, I'll take care of him." I whispered to her. She looked at Lucas caressed his face and got up.

I pulled Lucas to lay next to me on the bed instead of in my lap at the foot of the bed. He was still crying. After a while he fell back asleep. I hope nothing happens to Sheri. They would throw Enzo and Lucas into foster care. Addison would probably go insane. I love her and her family so much and it hurts to see them fall apart like this.

I spent the day at the hospital with Addison and her family. Sheri was heartbroken that her husband had passed away and Enzo still has yet to wake up. It hurt when visiting hours were over, I didn't want to leave Addison here but I know she won't leave her family. She's not going to sleep. I know she won't. She's gonna stay up worried.

"Addison, I know you want to stay here, but I think it's best if you come with me." She shook her head. "Bryce I can't leave them. Lucas is so small, he doesn't know what's going on. My mom just woke up and I want to make sure nothing happens. And Enzo hasn't even woken up yet. Not to mention we all just lost my father. I'll stay in Lucas's room tonight. Thank you for being here for me." She said coming up to me, wrapping her arms around my waist, and burying her head into my chest. "Always, Babygirl. No matter what." I kissed her head.

We said our goodbyes and I watched as she went to sit in the chair next to Lucas's bed. I knew it. She's going to sit up and watch him all night to make sure he's okay. "Is there anyway you could let me stay until she falls asleep? If I leave before she'll stay up worrying." I asked the nurse. "I'm sorry, sir but the visiting hours are very strict, only immediate family, after 8." She explained to you. "Okay thank you. Do me a favor though. Call me if something happens. She's extremely fragile right now." I asked writing my name and phone number on a notepad on the desk. She nodded. I know their not supposed to do that but Addi is in a really tough position right now and she will slowly go insane if no one is here to help her cope.
