Roberts POV

Me and y/n have been dating for 3 years today is her birthday I didn't know exactly what to do or get her for today so I texted some of her friends and they came up with some ideas one of my ideas was proposing

Was I scared? Oh yea definitely. But was I excited? Yes. I want to spend the rest of my life with her so I'm gonna take her to the mall to do a little shopping then we shall go to dinner

I got dressed to pick her up I grabbed my keys and got inside my car and drove to her house I got out and went inside then walked to her room I knocked on the door

Y/n: Robert!

Rob: hi baby

You ran up to him and gave him a hug and gave him a peck on the lips you grabbed your phone off the bed you sat down and looked at Robert

Rob: Happy Birthday princess

Y/n: you remembered

Rob: of course I did

Y/n: thank you, why are you dressed so fancy

Rob: well I need you to get dressed fancy like too we are going somewhere

Y/n: oh ok

You got dressed and came out your bathroom Robert looks you up and down then smiles

Y/n: is this to much or is it good

Rob: it's perfect you look beautiful

Y/n: thank you

You both walk down the stairs and walk outside Robert opens your door and you get in he gets in the drivers side

Y/n's POV

I don't exactly know where we're going dressed like this the only thing I thought of was a restaurant Robert handed me a blind fold and I put it on til the car came to a stop

The car door opened Robert grabbed my hand and helped me out of the car he then told me to take the blindfold off we were at this fancy restaurant we walked in and got a table

Rob: so how are you

Y/n: good, you didn't have to take me here it's expensive

Rob: but it's your birthday and only the birthday girls get special treatment

Y/n: awe rob I love you

Rob: I love you too

You guys were talking for a little bit when Roberts phone went off he looked at it pretty quickly you got suspicious but didn't say anything ever so often he would check the time on his phone

Y/n: is everything ok

Rob: huh oh yea

Y/n: ok

You guys got your drinks and continued to have a nice time with Robert he checked his phone one last time then got up

Rob: I'm so sorry baby but I have to go

Y/n: oh that's ok

Roberts POV

I got up from my seat and told y/n I had to leave her friend told me that everything was almost ready i quickly left and went to the store to get a few more things then went to y/n's house I felt bad for just leaving and not telling her why

When I arrived y/n had called her friend to come get her at the restaurant but didn't mention me leaving y/n/f left to get her and I finished setting up everything

Y/n/f: hey y/n

Y/n: hey

Y/f/n: whats wrong

Y/n: nothing it's just it's my birthday and Robert left me at the restaurant by myself

Y/f/n: oh I wonder what he's doing

Y/n: Yea same

Y/n's POV

We arrived at my house I walked inside and see  rose petals and candles lit going all the way up my staircase I followed the rose petal trail and it led to my bedroom I opened the door and saw all of my favorite things and across my bed was wrote will you marry me in rose petals

I turned around and there sat Robert kneeling down on one knee held out a box inside was a beautiful diamond ring

Rob: before you say anything I'm sorry for leaving you in the restaurant but I had to in order to do all of this but with some help obviously also I want to spend the rest of my life with you, you are so kind hearted, smart, beautiful, and overall just amazing you bring so much happiness in my life when I'm not with you I feel like I'm missing a piece of me I love you so much but what do you say will you marry me

Y/n: Robert I love you so much and yes

You had tears streaming down your face Robert put the ring on your finger and stood up you gave him a kiss your friend comes in the room you look at her and smile

Y/n: let me guess you were his help

Y/f/n: yep

Y/n: ok this has been the best birthday ever

Rob: I'm glad

Your friend leaves and you and Robert were left at your home you guys just cuddled and laughed together and fell asleep with smiles on your faces
