Chapter 11

Xavier's Pov:-

It's been three days that I have heard about Arunima's car accident and I was still in a crappy mood. I know I have been very harsh with my employees for the last few days but I can't help it. Marcus' attack on the border last week was really a surprise for me. I was expecting a more intrusive attack but he just attacked the border. It seems as if he is looking for something that might weaken my position against him so I have to be careful regarding my dealings. The time of the attack and Arunima's car accident was the same. Somehow it makes me feel as if it was not coincidental. Could it be Marcus who caused her accident? But the question is why would he?

Recently My mind is always stuck on her. It's something mysterious that she holds in herself that attracts me like a moth to a flame. She makes me feel things that I have not felt for a very long time and I intend to keep it like that but she is making me lose the control that I have over my life. And I don't like to lose control of my life whether it's business or pleasure.

But it seems that she is hiding something from everyone. The day I got news from the receptionist about her car accident I asked for the hospital address but I found out that she is being treated at her home but the apartment address that was written in the employee file turned out to be locked. So I asked Leo to investigate her.

My thoughts were interrupted by my cell ringing. I looked that my mom was calling.

"Hey, mom."

"Hello, sweetheart. I just called you to remind you to bring your fiance to meet us this weekend."

Yeah, that's true. I told my family that I had a fiance and well their reaction was priceless.

"I still don't believe you, Xavier. I mean one day you were saying that you don't want to get married and suddenly a few days after you say that you have a fiance and you are not even telling us her name."

Woah. My mother should have been an investigator rather than a mom.
"It's a surprise mom. Just wait and I can guarantee you that you will like this girl. But right now I am a little busy mom. I'll call you later." And I cut the call.

Now there is only one task in my hand and that is to make Arunima accept my proposal to be my fiance. A small smile graced my lips at her being my future wife.

A few days ago

Leo entered my office when I was discussing the new merger with my friends.

"Sir here is everything about Miss Bhattacharya." He said while handing me the black file. I took the file and started reading.

There were the basic details. Well, she had a good education. She was a double major in computer engineering and business studies. While I was flipping through the pages of the file I noticed that there were no photos of her. "Why there is not a single photo of her in her file, Leo?"

"Well, it is not the only thing that is not in the file. She has a very secret private life. She has no social media profile or many friends, so it was quite hard to fi find out about her. But from my investigation, I found that she does not live in the apartment that is registered here. She has her own house. She has two children who are twins although no one has ever seen her with anyone."

"Wait, she has children?" Ronald almost shouted. "And I thought she was single. Well, I must say she is quite a hot mom. Isn't she Xavier?" He winked at me.

He knew that it would stir me up. But I controlled myself and signaled Leo to continue.

"The last thing that I found was that her sister is getting married to Advay Singh.
