Stranded

First time meeting Austin

"Hey have you seen the new kid? He's kinda cute dont'cha think? A lot of people think he's weird. But he's super nice I talked to him he is marvelous" my friend Claire said. That's just like her talking a mile a minute without stopping for a breath.
"Seems like someone has a new crush" I said nudging her side teasingly.
"I do not!" She said turning a dark shade of red. She totally does. That's when the bell rang.
"See you at lunch" she called rushing to get to her class period. Why is she always running. Where not in 6th grade anymore. We don't need to scramble to find our classes! I walked calmly across campus and into my first period class history. Ugh I swear history has got to be the most boring subject ever. I mean who's going to need to know how the Yurabah tribes strived to live when your s famous actress/singer? I mean seriously half the things these teachers teach us these days we are never going to use. That doesn't mean I get bad grades though. Since the beginning of sixth grade I've always managed to pull a perfect 4.0 gpa. Anyways I walked into the classroom and was delighted to see we had a sub so that meant we could sit wherever we want. Unfortunately I got to class a bit later than usual and all the seats where taken. The only available seat was in the back next to this kid with brown straight hair and green eyes that I've never seen before. I sat down and noticed instantly that no one was sitting in front of him behind him or to the right of him. Oh no was it a mistake to sit next to this kid? Could he have rabies or something? Hey, it could happen! I bit my lip and was about to move when the substitute walked to the front of the room.
"Hola class. Unfortunately mrs. Macklemore won't be here today. So I'm going to be your sub for the day" she said giving us a thumbs up sign. We giggled. I immediately liked this sub.
"Anyways there really isn't any lesson plan so feel free to do whatever" she said. The whole class went silent after that.

Didn't!
She does not know what she just got herself Into. The whole class erupted with shouting and yelling and out of tune singing.
"Yo everybody do the nae nae!!" Lovell a boy in our class yelled.
"No lets do Yeet!" Someone else yelled.
"No no no lets do the Dogie" another person screamed. Everyone started dancing to there own beat. I just sat down and stared at my feet.
There is no way I'm doing this.
"Come on Talaya dance" Chris yelled. I stuck my tongue out at him. That kid was always on my back correcting me and stuff. I never ask him for help because he'll make a big deal about it and I don't need that in my life.
I looked at the boy he was fiddling with his pen and he looked nervous.
"Are you okay" I asked him. He tensed and looked up slowly.
Wow I breathed he is cute.
"Yea I've just never- I haven't ever-" he stopped frowning searching for the right words.
"I've never seen a class in so much chaos" he said smiling a bit.
"Don't get used to it, not usually like this" I said removing a brown strand away from my face.
"I'm Austin I'm new" he said shyly looking down at his desk.
"I'm Talaya and I'm not new" smooth one Talaya I thought to myself.
"Nice to meet you" he said. I noticed something different he had an accent s British accent.
No wonder! People thought he was odd because of his accent.
"Looks like Talaya's got a boyfriend" Chris shouted from the top of his lungs.
"Looks like you have your mouth up your ass again Chris" I tutted.
There was a chorus of ooooo's and she told you's.
After the chaos took place again I began to talk to him again. I noticed his face was a shade darker. Like a crimson red now.
"Your from England?" I asked curious. He groaned.
"Is it that obvious?" He asked his accent still coming through loud and clear.
"Yes. It is. But it's okay it doesn't matter to me" I said smiling. Unfortunately I can't say the same to my fellow peers. Especially people like Chris. They would make any one different in the slightest there life a living hell.
"Thanks" he said shooting a small smile.
"Okay class that's enough Chaos for now. Since its a block day and I have you guys the rest of the day we'll take a tour around Beverly Hills (where we live)" the teacher said. The whole class erupted into cheers and whoops.
Except Austin and I we just looked genuinely interested. We began to follow the teacher out to the bus and we began the tour. I wanted to sit next to Austin but a girl named Trinity pulled me over to sit with her.
"Are you excited" she asked.
"Yes I guess" I mumbled trying to keep track of where Austin was sitting.
"I am too. Hey I wouldn't talk to that new kid if I were you" she said making my attention snap back to her.
"Oh really? Why?" I asked through slightly gritted teeth.
"First of all Chris and his goons will never leave you alone if you drag around a dude like that" she said pointing an accusing finger at Austin who was sitting in the back by himself.
"Second he'll bring your popularity down like 1000 percent third of all he's just plain weird" she said turning back to look at him then gagging.
"Ok Trinity I know your trying to help me and all but first of all Chris can go fuck himself second I don't care about popularity reputation or any of that junk and third of all he's not weird he's nice I talked to him in class!" I said my voice rising an octave.
"Oh you mean when Chris shouted that he was you boyfriend? Yep that turned out very well" that's when I did it. I reached over and flicked her in the ear.
"Ow hey!" She shouted. The bus went dead silent.
