Boruto
I wasn't sure what had happened but I felt a change in the climate. I looked around and everything looked the same but I knew that something was off. I turned to look at Rain and he looked a bit fearful. It was barely noticeable but his hands kept on slightly shaking. I didn't know him for long but I could tell that he wasn't acting like himself.
"What's wrong?" I asked him but he just shook his head and sighed. He gave me a slight smile before telling me that it was nothing and that something was on his mind for a while now. I wanted to question him about it but I didn't know how. "If you say so..." Was all I told him before we went to go find the group.
I decided to track Sasuke's chakra but for some reason, I couldn't. Now I knew for sure that something was wrong. I tried the others and could sense them not too far ahead, but Kakashi and Sasuke were nowhere to be found. Suddenly, I felt a gust of wind and Rain was no longer next to me. I had no idea what was going on.
In no time, the village was filled with fog and I could barely see anything. It didn't help that I couldn't sense anyone either. What I'm guessing now is that they knew that we were coming and then set up this trap. I just wasn't sure how they knew.
I had a lot of questions I wanted to be answered but for now, I just needed to focus on finding the others. I walked through the thick fog, it almost seemed like I was in a maze. But at the speed I was going, I would never make it out in time.
Because of this, I decided to use my gust of wind jutsu to clear this all up. It was a lot of fog and a usual wind style wouldn't work so I had to up it a bit. I activated my Bakugan and spun to activate it, I then activated my other eye and added more power to it. Once I had done that, the fog instantly cleared away.
I looked around me and saw a confused Mizuki and Sarada looking in my direction. They instantly ran toward me, but what confused me was that I couldn't find Rain. He was right next to me moments ago so he couldn't have gone far. Yet again, he has a wide range of abilities so he could've escaped already.
"Sol! Luckily you were able to clear the fog. It came out of nowhere and I couldn't find anyone besides Mizuki." Sarada told me in a panic. I understood why she was worried but I didn't have time to deal with it right now. We are still trapped and unable to find the others.
"Sarada, can you sense your dad?" I had a gut feeling that she could track him better than I could. She is a strong shinobi but is letting confusion and fear get in her way right now. "Focus on just him and see if you can locate him." I said, pushing her a bit more. We had no time to waste right now.
"I'll try but I can't guarantee anything." Was all she said before activating her sharigan. She seemed very focused which did give me some hope. Suddenly, she suddenly snapped out of it. "I found him!" She said excitedly and almost shocked. "He's in the building up ahead. We better go quick, I think that he is injured."
After she said that, we all started to run in that direction. Only, I started once I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I turned over and I saw Rain looking at us. He looked concern. In no time, I teleported over to him, catching him completely off guard. I knew now that he was connected to whatever was happening.
"Sol!" He said, still caught off guard. "I-I got separated and-" He tried to create an excuse but I didn't care to waste time listening to it. I knew that whatever he was gonna say was going to be a lie anyway.
"Don't mess around and tell me your story." I told him seriously. A part of me trusted him because he would've attacked me already, but he is clearly hesitating. This wasn't like his typical behavior. "I know that you are keeping stuff from us. You can trust me, I can tell that you don't want to be involved with whatever it is you are involved with." I told him.
"I knew that I couldn't fool you for long. You are like me too. You got a whole background story no one knows about. How about a deal. You tell me your story, I'll tell you mine?" He asked with a broken smile. I hesitated at his request but my instincts told me to trust him. I could regret this in the future, but for now, I wouldn't.
"Fine. I'll tell you my story."
Sasuke
When I looked up, I was met with an unfamiliar face. I was trapped in a dark room filled with people. But the person in front of me was different from the rest. I could instantly tell that he was in charge. He chakra levels proved it to be that way. "You're finally awake I see..." He said, flashing a sneering smile my way.
"What is it that you want?" I asked him seriously and he laughed.
"What do I want you ask? Well... to start I don't want stupid shinobi getting in the way of my goal. Me and my team are on a mission and we will not let you guys ruin it." He said, the smile no longer on his face.
"What you are doing isn't good. Do you really think that attacking villages and stealing is a good mission. Don't make me laugh." I told him and it clearly angered him.
"You know, I had higher expectations of you. I heard that you were this powerful shinobi and that the team you were leading was powerful as well, but I guess that it was all just a big lie." He said, his voice filled with laughter. It angered me that I was stuck having to listen to him. Whatever they gave mr weakened me a lot.
"Who says we are weak?" I turned around and I saw Mizuki and Sarada enter the building. I wasnt sure how they found this place but it was good they did. Only one thing was starting to concern me. Where were Sol and Rain? I know that they are closer to each other but its odd for niether of them to be here.
"Oh, well I guess you have to prove me wrong now." The guy said before a couple of his guards ran toward Sarada and Mizuki. I knew that they could fight them off but this guy was someone I had to personally handle. The thing they gave me was starting to wear off and in no time, I would be able to move again.
I looked around and tried to find Kakashi but he wasn't here. He might've gotten free somehow or they must of separated him. However, a crash from another room caught all of our attention and out of it came Sol, Rain, and Kakashi....
