Boruto
We started to head to the location we were given by the brainwashed. Sarada was the only one still shaken up by the events that had happened beforehand but she was slowly coming back. Sasuke hasn't said much to me or to the rest of the group but he was obviously still trying to process everything. My plan of running away was still in my head...
"Let's stop at the next village and eat and look around. Some of the villagers must know something about the exact location of the commander and his group." Kakashi said and we all agreed. I've never been to the village they are talking about before. I've heard about it's bad reputation but that was about it. Maybe I could find new clients on the way?
Rain suddenly rushed to my side. We were away from the others so they couldn't hear us. "So... you wanna explain what happened before. I stayed quiet because others were around but now it's just us, and I'm extremely curious." Rain said and I sighed. I didnt know what to tell him. I knew that he was going to ask me but maybe I should tell him.
I was also curious as to why he wasn't affected by the brainwashing. I knew that he was strong than he presented himself, but I didnt know the extent of it. For all I know, he could be more powerful than me and be putting on a show just like I am, but that would be crazy, right. Yeah... that was crazy to think about. I must be going crazy.
"Its hard to explain, but I just have certain abilities" I said bluntly. I knew that he would ask me for more detail but I was hesitate to give it to him. I was going to ask him a couple of questions as well but I didn't know if he would be honest with me either. If I am blunt about my answers, then he would be blunt as well. Maybe I could trust him?
"Interesting..." he said a bit awkwardly before sighing. "You want to know about my abilities as well, right?" He asked and I didn't hesitate to nod, he was right after all. "Well... they are actually a bit unknown to me. I can feel this strong, powerful chakra inside of me but I cant access it at will if that makes sense. It just suddenly takes over at times.
After he said that, I was left a bit confused. So he had this amazing power, but couldn't access it at will? That was really strange. Wait... then that means that he might be controlled by someone else? If that was the case, we could all be watched right now and not even know it. But now the only question I had left was if Rain knew?
Did he know that he was being manipulated by someone else? Or was he just a naive kid, unaware of his potential and came to the village searching for help?
Little did I know, this question would be answered very soon...
Sasuke
I looked ahead at Rain and Sol speaking to one another. They seemed to have gotten close really fast and it would be a lie to say that I saw it coming. They are both, in a way, outcasts, but I thought that they were the type to stick to themselves. Rain has gotten close to the group, especially Shikadai, but he still doesnt trust us, and that's what sets him apart.
"Stopping at this village in particular was a bit odd. Did you sense something, Sasuke?" Kakashi asked and I sighed. I honestly had no real idea as to why I told them to stop here. Something inside just told me too. I wouldn't expect the commander to hide in plain sight, but I feel like this is too easy. Somehow we just know his location, but it just isnt adding up. Why did I ask to stop here... wait... did I ask to stop here?
I suddenly got on guard. Something was messing with my head right now. Something strong was taking over me and I didn't know what to do to stop it. It was odd that I decided to stop everyone at this random village and told them to ask around for the man we are trying to find. A small village like this would rat out a powerful group like them anyway.
"Gather up the group." I told Kakashi sternly and he nodded. I still couldn't believe I let something get into my head. I must of been distracted when it happened which explains why I couldn't remember a thing. But luckily I snapped out of it right on time. But what concerned me now were the others. Were they brainwashed once again?
I looked over at the area where Sol and Rain were once talking but now they were gone. I tried to locate their chakra as well but they were no where in sight. This was just a whole big trap and we fell for it. But that meant that someone from our group must of known about this. We had a traitor among us and I already had two possible suspects.
The only problem was that I couldn't find either one of them. Damn... what to do now? I knew that I would be attacked any second as seeing all the villaagers run away from something coming from the north side. "Kakashi? Are you still around." I yelled into the distance but I got no response. The fog suddenly got heavier and I could barely seen anything around me. Even with my eye, it wad hard to see.
"Ha... that was easier than I thought it would be. Quite a pathetic show for such a strong shinobi like yourself, dont you think, Sasuke?" I heard a unfamiliar voice say from behind the fog, I have never heard the voice before and I didnt know if I should fight them head on. Fighting opponents blinded has been something I've done since I was young.
In a way, this reminded me of a certain situation from years ago. A situation involving mirrors. But that's in the past, and for now, I need to focus on the opponent I have charging at me.
