"Have you chosen who will make up the team?" I asked Sasuke as I finished up the reports. "Do you really think that it's a good idea to look into the young rogue ninja?" I asked him cautiously. I knew how he felt about this situation and about discovering who the mystery ninja is.
Just a few months ago, we got reports of a vigilante rogue ninja getting hired to protect, spy, or attack anyone on command. With these reports, rumor has it that he's young and powerful for his age. I'm sure that Sasuke, in a way, sees himself in the ninja and wants him to join the elite team we are setting up; a team consisting of the strongest young ninja out there.
This team is being made because a powerful being will arrive soon. Although Sasuke and I, along with many more shinobi of our generation, are strong, the need for powerful shinobi to protect the village is essential. We don't know how much time we have exactly, but the sooner we train and prepare the group, the better.
"He was recently spotted around the border of the village. I believe that he was hired to spy on someone based on how frequently he moved around. I tried to follow him, but he disappeared almost as if he sensed me a mile away." I sighed after Sasuke told me this. It would be good to get this mystery ninja on the team but it will be impossible unless we can talk to him.
"Let's get started on the people we have on the team right now. We can train them and prepare them and if he decides to join, then I'll personally train with him. The more we wait on him, the sooner the threat may come. We have the evidence to suggest that this thing coming is connected to the mysterious event that occurred two years ago." I told him as I stood up to look out the window.
Ever since we all suddenly woke up with foggy memory, I haven't been able to think straight just wondering about what had really happened to us. It was hard to describe, but it was almost like there was a hole in my chest; something important in my life was missing, and I wanted it back.
And what sucks the most is that Kurma hasn't, or won't, give me any answers. I know he knows something, but I'm not going to push him... yet.
"Okay... I'm going to do another scan of the village before calling it a day. I'll be back with reports later." Sasuke said and I nodded in approval before he walked out the door. I trusted him more than anyone which is why I let him take control of things like this. Hopefully, he returns with the mystery boy, but by the looks of it, that boy is a solo ninja. Getting him to join will be a challenge.

That was a close one...
I was out doing a job when I noticed that I was being followed by a group of shinobi. I would usually ignore it knowing that I wouldn't be caught, but I sensed Sasuke nearby. Rumor has it that he's looking for me but I don't want to be found. It's best for me to not take any jobs until this is all handled. The last thing I wanted was to be questioned by him.
Even though I try not to, I still keep tabs on what is going on in the village. Not necessarily because I miss it, but because I'm scared that they will all remember me. I don't know for sure yet if the power I used was permanent. For all I know, it could wear off at any second and I needed to make sure I could fix it when that time came.
"Ouch!" I said as I held onto my side. As I was running back, my vision got foggy and I ran into a tree. Because of my job, I don't have much time to rest. Before, any job offer I got, I would take it. They were usually a few jobs that would pay enough for me to survive. But the good thing about those is that they gave me credit. The credit I needed to be hired for jobs bigger than the ones I was doing before.
I sighed and laid down on my bed. I was planning on taking a nap but just as I was about to finally rest, I get a notification. It was a job request... I was going to immediately decline it but once I saw the amount they were willing to pay, the job was on. I was good on money right now, but it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more.
I got off of the bed and put on my coat before heading out. I decided to become what some people may call a vigilante or a spy. Over the past two years, I have been able to make a name for myself around some of the small towns in the area. It wasn't what I had planned for myself, but now it turned out that way, I'm okay with it.
The job I was hired for today was to track down a mystery man in a dark coat who would rob people along with the village gates. I enjoyed doing jobs like these more than others. For some, I feel as though I am the bad guy but I can't refuse the job. I started to look around the area the person had sent me information on. So far, I didn't sense anything, but I knew that it wouldn't be that easy.
"Shhhhhhhhh" a strange sort of shush sound was heard among the trees. I would say that it was the wind, but I felt a weird presence nearby. I got on guard and started to follow the strange sound. I decided to activate my byakugan to be able to look around better and once I did, I was able to see a figure glancing at me behind a tree.
In no time, I ran in its direction. But what caught me off guard was that the figure didn't move. Instead, as I got closer, this familiar feeling got to me. A feeling that I knew who this was. And when I was a bit too close, a saw a pair of red eyes flash at me. "Shit!" I said before quickly back away, but this time, the figure followed.
I'm a lot stronger than I was before but still don't know the range of abilities Sasuke has. It would be stupid for me to throw myself into a battle I have little knowledge about. "Wait!" I suddenly heard him yell at me. "Look, we can do this the hard way and fight it out or you can come with me and hear a proposal I'm sure you'll like." He said as I backed away.
I had no idea what he was talking about...
"I don't care about any proposal. I'm here to do a job and don't need someone like you in my way." I said before getting to leave but before I could, my body felt frozen. I couldn't move and my legs became jelly. I was able to turn my head around and I saw Sasuke standing right in front of me. This was the first time since I erased his memories that I've talked to him before. It felt strange.
"I'm sorry, I guess I had to do it the hard way but you'll soon figure out how it's beneficial for us both." He told me before I soon passed out.
Hey guys!!! So sorry for the delay! I meant to update at around 8:00 pm but I completely fell asleep. But anyway, here it is! I hope you enjoy this chapter!
