Boruto
My head was aching...
I slowly opened my eyes and saw that I was surrounded by bricks. As my eyes adjusted more, I realized that I was laying on a bed. It was honestly very comfortable and nothing like the bed I had at my hideout. But then it clicked. I wasn't supposed to be here. Where was I? But then it came back to me...
The memory of Sasuke taking me returned and I groaned. This wasn't supposed to happen. I knew now that I was probably at the leaf Village and that was the place I least wanted to be at right now. "He's awake..." I suddenly heard a voice say and I quickly turned toward that direction. And I was shocked to see who it was.
"In a weird way, he kinda looks like Naruto." I heard a familiar voice say and my eyes widened. They hadn't seen me in so long and I feared that this would cause them to regain any sorts of memories. I was finally starting to adapt back into the world and I now got pulled into this mess. I was probably just going to be a prisoner to them. They probably caught on to the job I was now doing.
"What do you guys want with me?" I told Sasuke and Kakashi hesitantly. My voice must have caught them off guard because they didn't respond to me.
"Just to clear one thing up for you, we aren't your enemy. We just want to talk about something that may interest us both." Sasuke told me and I scoffed. If I wasn't an enemy, I wouldn't be looking at them through the metal bars. "Please, just hear us out because whether you like it or not, your gonna have to accept." This time I laughed. He couldn't control me.
I stood up from the bed and walked up to them both. I could easily erase their memories of me and manipulate them into letting me go. It was something new that I learned I could do and it is amazing. "Now you are going- ahhhhhh." A sudden shock filled my body and I couldn't move. The second I activated my eye, something forced it to turn off. This has never happened to me in the past and I was sure how to fix it.
"I'm sorry, but you can't have you using those powers of yours," Kakashi said as I held onto my head in pain. "As you may or may not know, this village went through an inexplicable event a couple of years ago. You see, everyone woke up, with foggy memory, injured, and confused. Not even the smartest of shinobi knew what had happened. So it was a surprise for us to know that there was a rogue ninja nearby who had the ability to manipulate others and potentially erase memories."
"I have no idea what you are talking about and had nothing to do with whatever you went through, okay. Now can you let me go!" I yelled but they did not react to it at all.
"There is a chance you had nothing to do with it but even then, you are still a vigilante ninja who has multiple reports placed onto him. So we could easily leave you here in jail or you can listen to the proposal we have for you." Sasuke said in a serious tone and for once, I gulped. At this point, I had no choice but to listen to him.
"Fine, I'll listen to your stupid proposal, but that doesn't mean I'll accept it. I'm the MANIPULATIVE one, not the one who can be manipulated." I said sternly and Sasuke smirked. The same smirk he's shown me so many times in the past. The one I was slowly starting to despise...
"I'll explain it to you..." Kakashi said and I turned to face him. "So you see, we have valid reasons to believe that a force stronger than we have ever seen before is coming. A force that even the strongest shinobi we have can't fight alone. So Sasuke here came up with a plan to gather a team of strong young ninja to train them and prepare them for the future they may have to face if we are unable to stop the evil force. A group of ninja with abilities considered to be incredible."
"To continue off of what Kakashi said and to cut it short, we want you on the team," Sasuke said and I looked at them with a confused expression. "Finding you was one of the hardest challenges I've faced for a while and that is an impressive thing to say. I can tell you have potential and I guess a part of me sees my old self in you. And besides this, I still want to monitor you for in case you did have something to with the mystery that happened years ago."
"So what do you say? Want to join team Solo?" Kakashi asked and I didn't know what to say. "Well... you don't really have a choice but it sounds a lot cooler this way." He said mockingly and I scoffed.
"Why Solo?" I asked, still generally confused with everything going on. When I woke up today, I thought that I would just go and do another job, get paid, train, eat, shower, and sleep. The same boring routine I do every day. But now I was standing here, trapped, with people who don't know me even though I know so much about them.
"Why Solo, well, because we want you to lead the team. Solo Ninja."
