"Ririka. You can't tell anyone OK? Because this is like a secret." "Marys gonna tell me one of her secrets." I nod my head. "I also have liked a girl..her name was Tsuzura." "Tsuzura?" I repeated the name to myself. "She was the best person ever, but this academy took her away. This hell school to away the only person who helped me make it to second year. I don't know what happened, all I know is that it was the schools fault. The President must've done something; Ririka- I noticed how much you looked like the president, you guys must be twins."
"...Yeah, we are."
"Well you aren't like her...are you?" I sit up now. "What, no of course not-" Mary looks away. "I don't know if I can believe that or not Ririka."
She wouldn't look at me. I cupped her cheeks in my hands and turned her face to me. Mary too, was now sitting up. "Mary you know that I'm nothing like my sister don't you?" I pulled myself upright taking my hand from her face. "I know you aren't like her, but...you are related to her. Who knows this might even be the president right now and I wouldn't even know!- I mean what if you are like her, but you're just pretending?"
I grabbed Mary by the shoulder and forced her down. "Mary- I am nothing like my sister. I would never scoop down to her level, you're the one who's helping me. You're helping me become my OWN self! Mary I- I love you. I wouldn't dare do anything to betray your trust. I swear."
Tears clogged my vision. Looking up at me, Mary had a smile on her face. I couldn't understand why she was smiling.
Wait-
I realized what I had just done. I confessed to Mary. Oh no my life's over. I had to get out of there as soon as possible.
My eyes opened wide- I pulled my self up off Mary. Before I could get off the bed Mary latched onto my hand and pulled me back on top of her.
She looked into my eyes for a small moment before pushing me down on her. She... was hugging me? I didn't know why she was hugging me, but I didn't try to get free of her grasp. I didn't know know what to do.
"...hey Ririka?" I didn't say anything. She continued talking. "I..I like you too you know?"
I sighed and sat up straight. I couldn't make eye contact with her, so I just looked off to the side. My mind was racing, I was so happy. I took a deep breath before looking back down at Mary. Her eyes were just so pretty, and she was just so..intimidating. I was scared to say something, but I did. "Mary..do you wanna like- go out or...something." Mary laughed at that, "yeah...yeah I do wanna go out with you."
