Kaldur pov
As I sit next to Roy's hospital bed I think about what will I say to Annex when Roy is out. I want to stay with Roy I really do but I can not betray my king. I look at Roy sleeping and think that if I was punished for my decision, Roy would be there for me. I lay my head on his chest and fall asleep.

Roy pov
It's been a full month since I left the hospital. Kaldur of course took some time off to nurse me which I didn't need by the way. It nice to wake him up with a kiss again. After breakfast we go to the cave for my last check in so I can get back to work. It's been almost hell not being able to do shit. As we walk hand in hand to the infirmary we're stop by dumb and dumber. Kaldur squeezes my hand for confidence and walks by them. I smirk at them as I kiss his cheek. He gets me to the infrimary and lays me down gently.
"Will you stop treating me like I'm made of fucking glass." I groan at him.
"When you get the bandaids off then yes." He smiles at me as he sits down on the bed.
We sit in our usual silence as he lazily rubs my knee cap and plays with my hand. He slowly brings it to his lips and kisses it gently.
"You are not allowed to scare me like that again. I mean it Roy." He says to me seriously with a sad look on his face.
I move up to peck his lips lightly and place my head in his neck while rubbing his sides.
"I'm sorry." I whisper to him as he kisses my temple.
"I forgive you." He whispers while I lay soft kisses on his neck.
I move away slowly as I lay back down. As he moves to lay next to me. I coo at him lightly and pull him closer to me. I feel bad cause he hasn't slept in days while I was recovering. I let him sleep on me before BC comes in to evaluate me. I rub his back slowly as I hear the door open. Oliver and Arthur come in the room. I can feel a headache coming and tighten my grip.
"Roy we need to talk." Oliver says.
"Will you at least keep it down. He hasn't slept in days." I order them.
"We had a deal." Arthur says.
"No. You two tried to be men, Kaldur caved, he got over it and started to love me again. That's what happened." I tell them.
"You two need to end it. Now." Oliver says.
"No, you two need to grow the fuck up." I growl at them.
"Roy has a point." Dinah says behind them.
"You stay out of this." Arthur says.
"Excuse you." She says while glaring at him.
They stay silent not wanting to test her.
"Thought so. Give me your arm." She says while looking at me.
I hold out my free arm for her. As the examination goes on I let Kaldur sleep. Arthur and Oliver look pissed as usual but I ignore them. When she finishes with me I stay for a bit longer so Kal can have a few more minutes. He wakes up about 30 minutes later.
"Roy." He mumbles trying to shake the sleep out of him.
"Relax. I'm all done. I just need a week of training and I'm back to work and off my ass. Come on." I tell him while getting up.
"I am sorry that I slept for so long." He says while following me taking my hand.
"It's fine. You needed it." I tell him while we walk to the beam.
We're stopped by king moron and his idiot sidekick. Kaldur takes a step back but still next to me.
"What do you want?" I demand annoyed.
"You two break up." Oliver says.
"No." Kaldur says.
"Kaldur break up with him. Now." Arthur orders.
"You do not control my love life." Kaldur says proudly.
"I want you to answer me this: give me one good reason why we can not be together." Kaldur challenges."You give me one valid reason and I leave Roy for good." He adds.
The room falls silent as they try to think. Kal and I have light smirks on our faces.
"Alright. You got us there I admit. But you two still can't be together." Oliver says.
"We still want a reason." I demand.
"How will your relationship affect your performance in the field?" Arthur asks.
"You know that it hasn't." Kaldur says bluntly.
"But it might in the future." Oliver insists.
"So you and Dinah can go and do the dirty and we can't why?" Roy says in annoyance.
"Enough. Why doesn't Batman just decide. This is basically his team." Dinah explains from behind us.
"This doesn't concern him." Arthur argues.
"Like it doesn't." Batman says behind Oliver and Arthur.
"This between us and them." Oliver says.
"You're right. But Kaldur is working under me. Remember. As long as this doesn't effect his decisions which it hasn't then I see no valid reason why they can not be together." Batman says ending the argument.
"It is just not natural." Arthur says making Kaldur look down in sadness.
"He is an Atlantean and he's a teenager that's been to jail twice with a bow and arrow that tries to save the world. No shit it's not normal." Batman says. "But it's normal to them and that all that counts." He adds.
Kaldur looks at me with a light smile. I put an arm around his shoulder and pulls Kaldur close to me.
"I am staying with him my king and if you can not accept this than is it as it is." Kaldur said bluntly as he wraps his arm around my waist.
"Same for me Oliver." I said as kissed Kal's forehead sweetly.
Both Artur and Oliver walk away to the zeta beam in shame. After they leave, we both take the zeta beam back to Star. We get back to my apartment and we spend the rest of the day at my place.
