Chapter 3: the talk
Arthur's pov
I can't believe that Roy and Kaldur are dating. I would not want my son to date Roy. Period. He is a walking bad idea. I am in Atlantis pacing around the floor, trying to calm down. I see my lovely wife, Mera walk to greet me.
"Hello my love. How was your visit?"
"Not a pleasureful one."
"Oh dear. What happened?"
"I have found out that Kaldur has fallen in love."
She sat down in the chair next to me. She motioned for me to sit with her.
"He has fallen in love with Oliver's boy, Roy Harper."
"Well what did you do then?"
"I ordered Kaldur to break up with him or I bring him here."
"My love you know what you did was wrong."
"How am I wrong?"
"Lets have a look through the ball and find out."
She swam over to the all seeing ball. She brought it over to me and gave it to me.
"Show me the past of my son
Show me how Roy Harper stole his heart
Show me the memories they shared." She chanted.
The ball revealed them talking and laughing. Them holding hands and kissing. Them holding each other and dancing. Just them having fun and being a couple. I still didn't approve of this.
"You are trying to make a point my dear."
"I am only trying to see if Kaldur is happy. If you excuses me my love. I have to take care of something." She kissed my cheek and left.
Kaldur pov
I left for Atlantis because I wanted to visit my mother. Queen Mera stopped my at the portal. She looked at me and gave me a hug. She was the only one who knew about me and Roy before I did. Well her and my mother.
"I'm so sorry Kaldur. If only knew before he would make his decision I would have done everything in my power to stop it." She said as I cried in her shoulder.
"Come with me."
She took my hand and guided me to my room in the palace. We sat on the bed and she held my hand.
"Kaldur, what are you going to do? Are you going to break up with Roy?"
"He wants me too. That's the only way for us to at least see each other."
"I understand. There is something else you can do."
"What would that be my queen?"
"Fight back. You will always have my support. You have to get what you want. You deserve happiness Kaldur. Take it."
"I will try my queen. May I go visit my mother?"
"Of course my dear."
She kissed my forehead and I left. I went to my mothers house to see her. I haven't seen her in a couple of weeks due to missions and other things. I knock on the door and see my mother smiling at me.
"Kaldur'Arhm it is wonderful to see you!" She exclaimed as she hugged me.
This immediately brought a smile to my face.
"It is wonderful to see you too mother. I have missed you." I said as I hugged her tighter.
"And I have you Kaldur. Truly. Come in."
I walked in and sat down in the chair in the kitchen. My mother had a look on her face, like she knew something.
"Kaldur. Are you alright? You seem different."
"Mother. Remember the boy I told you about."
"Yes. Is he alright?"
"Annex is making me let him go. If I refuse then I will be forced to return to at Atlantis permanently."
"Oh dear. I am sorry my son. I know that you love him dearly."
"I do not know what to do. I want to stay with him, but I just do not know."
"You deserve happiness my son. This may not be the relationship I thought you would have, but it is one I approve of."
"Thank you mother. I must take my leave. Roy wanted to show see me before tomorrow."
I stood up and face my mother one last hug and kiss on the cheek.
"Goodbye my son. I love you. And give Roy my regards."
"I will and I love you too mother." I waved goodbye and headed toward the portal. I was in the cave and I saw Roy in a tux.
