Mike ran his hands through his thick hair. He had somehow successfully managed to ruin him and his girlfriends reputation. He was now known as a player and she was now known as a dumbass. Of course, she was pissed at him. "Mike? Your friend is here to see you!" Karen called from downstairs. He raced down the steps to see Will standing at the doorway, drenched in rainwater.

"Will! I haven't seen you in ages!" Mike embraced him in a hug. The shorter reluctantly hugged back. "You seem...off...what's wrong?"

"I just wanted to congratulate you, you know."

"On what?"

"You've invented an entire new kind of stupid! A kind of stupid that makes me question El's taste in men. A mistake you can never undo kind of stupid."

Mike started to sweat nervously, "Wh...what do you mean?"

Will shoved his phone in Mikes face. There was the thing he was dreading. The news of him cheating on El. "What the fuck is wrong with you?! Do you not know how embarrassed and heartbroken she is? She's been stuck in her room for two weeks!"

"I-"

"You'll never find anyone as trusting or as kind as she is. I had to shove down my feelings for you just because I want her to be happy, yet you pull this shit?"

"It's complicated, okay? I love her but I also love you!"

"What about that girl you cheated on her with? Is that 'complicated' too?"

"You don't understand, I was blackmailed and her boyfriend is really abusive. Ask her yourself," Mike took a deep breath, trying to calm down, "that's it. That's all it is."

He could tell he hit a soft spot. Wills furious expression cooled and turned into a sympathetic one.
