(6) Wedding Planning

Within two weeks of the announcement. They both received a text from their mothers early one morning. Peyton was asleep on his chest when he reached his phone. 

"Mmm.." she moaned 

"Sorry baby.." he whispered as he read the text. 

"Be at the River cafe at noon! Don't be late!" 

Bucky rolled his eyes when he saw that it was 930. Adrianna also got a similar text from her mom as she was sleeping over at her date's place from the night before. He was a hockey player for the Rangers and best friends with one of her cousins fiancée. She quietly got dressed and left him sleeping. 

When she walked into her apartment. "Damn someone had a wild night if you are just now coming home." Savannah said 

"Shut up Vannah. Remind me the next time we see Shelby hockey players are off the list." She said 

"That bad." Nat said 

"No. My god that man could go all night..my vagina hurts." She said as she went to take a shower. 

The girls smirked at each other as they drank coffee. Around 1145 Bucky came knocking on the door. She opened the door and said "Okay let's go.." 

"Have you figured out where you want us to elope to?" He said 

"I don't know. Somewhere secluded.." she said 

Bucky opened the car door for her when they got to his Audi. They made their way to Brooklyn to eat at the River Cafe. When he helped her get out of the car they plastered smiles and held hands as they made their way across the parking lot and into the restaurant. 

"James Adrianna this Nia Baxter one of the top wedding planners on the east coast. She's going to help us plan the wedding." Yvonne said 

"A wedding planner.." Adrianna said but Bucky squeezed her hand to remind her to have a better poker face. 

"Is there a problem?" Winnie said 

"No problem mom. It's just we were thinking that maybe we could elope. Not a lot fuss you know.." he said 

"Nonsense. My grand daughter and you are getting the lavish wedding you two deserve. And her daddy deserves to walk his baby down the aisle. So no more elopement talk so let's sit eat and discuss this wonderful wedding we are going to have." Phyllis said 

"I concur." Eugenie said 

For two hours the women discussed what they should have. What colors,what flowers since it was going to be an October wedding. By the end of the lunch both of their grandmothers look at them. 

"And by the way we are currently on the hunt for you two to have a pent house. And your grandfathers has already paid for your honeymoon in the Bahamas." Eugenie said 

"A honeymoon?" Bucky said 

"Yes a two week stay at a resort. You two will have a lot fun." Phyllis said 

"James honey is everything okay?" Winnie said 

"Yeah it's just um..it's just a lot to take in." He said as he began sweat bullets. 

"Okay well now we have other things to do. So follow us once we get in our cars." Yvonne said 

Once they were alone. 

"This is going well Dria. Now what we wanted which was a simple elopement has turned into a fucking money pit!" He said as he lit up a cigarette. 

"How was I suppose to know that this is what they were going to force. Was I asked for my opinion at any time during that damn lunch. No!." She said 

"And a honeymoon? Seriously! Do you know what that entails? Sex newlyweds have sex on their honeymoon." He said 

"And again. You can find you some little beach tramp to a screw while I sunbathe." She said 

"While you screw the cabana boy let's just be honest here Dria." He said

"Shut up." She said 

Once they arrived at their destination. They were met by a photographer on Central Park where everything was starting to bloom. Their mothers and grandmothers had them do engagement photos for two hours and in about 30 different poses. By the time they were done it was a quiet ride back home. 

When she got into her bathroom she took a hot bath and soaked. Bucky was standing under a cool shower at his apartment. The plan was to elope no pictures that this whole sham ever existed and it wasn't going that way.
