the sudden ringing interrupted my sleep, earning a groan from me. i yanked my phone from under the pillow, wincing at the bright light.

sapnap?  i read the caller id, eyes half asleep. it was 2 in the morning, giving him no reason to call me.

contemplating whether or not to answer, i gave in and accepted. "hello?" my hoarse voice let out.

"hello y/n!" he answered cheerfully. my eyebrows furrowed at his tone, why's he so happy?  "can you open the door? i'm just outside your house."

"huh?" i muttered, confused.

"open the door i'm outside." he repeated as his knocks were heard through the call.

"no." i grunted and ended the call, returning to my slumber.

silence filled the room, allowing me to sleep peacefully. the silence didn't last long though, after only a few seconds my ringtone played loudly.

i declined and put the phone away, only to have it ringing again. the cycle continued for about five attempts, until i finally answered his call.

"i am putting my phone on do not disturb." i mumbled lowly, proceeding to cut him off by ending the call. i fell straight back to sleep after, extremely exhausted from the long day.

i was so terribly wrong to think sapnap would just waddle back home.

the loud knocking of my bedroom door jolted me awake. "what the-" my whisper was cut off by the one and only sapnap.

"wake up you sleepy ass!" he shouted, still pounding his fists onto my door. i groaned loudly, ripping off my blankets. i opened the door irritatingly, an ocelot plushie in hand.

"what the hell, sapnap?" i spat, glaring at him for disturbing at such a late time.

"y/n! come on let's go to mcdonalds!" he stated, smiling from ear to ear.

"how did you even-" i started before he cut me off.

"i found a key under the doormat!" he said proudly. i only looked at him in disbelief, before chucking the plushie i had onto his head.

"OW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" he shouted, earning another smack from me.

"it's 2 a.m., that's why! and shut up, i'm gonna get more noise complaints!" i turned around, dragging myself to my closet to get a change of clothes as he followed closely behind, smiling at his successful attempt.

a couple minutes passed, the air engulfed in a comfortable silence. "where's the car?" i asked as i locked the front door behind me. he skipped happily, turning to me.

"at home." he told me, unbothered. i slowly looked up at him, only to shake my head afterwards. this man will be the death of me.

"so we're walking?" i groaned internally. i was not in the mood of exercising.

"mhm!" he hummed as he pulled me by the hand, me reluctantly trailing behind.

"is there a reason behind this sapnap?" i glanced at him momentarily before averting my eyes to the sidewalk. "nah, i just wanted chicken nuggets." he shrugged.

"why am i dating you?" i mumbled under my breath. apparently he had heard what i said and turned his head around so fast, i feared he would've gotten a whiplash.

"because you love me!" he shouted as he grabbed my legs and put them around him, giving me a piggyback. i let out a yelp as my eyes widened in shock, my arms immediately grasping his shoulders in a fear of falling off.

"oh my god, i hate you so much." i shouted into his ear, causing him to wince. he responded with a chuckle.

"nuh uh, you love me very much." he smirked before full on sprinting to the mcdonalds ahead. i held tighter, releasing a shout at the sudden move.

"god help me."

"what do you want?" i looked to him, his eyes scanning over the menu. "a big mac please." he said to the cashier with a smile. i shot him a confused glance.

"i thought you wanted chicken nuggets?" i whispered to him. "yeah, but carrying you on my back made me hungry." he smirked at me as i rolled my eyes. i wasn't that hungry, so i boight the chicken nuggets sapnap wanted, knowing he'd steal them anyways.

we waited patiently for our order, standing beside each other. considering it was late, the store was a little empty, but it didn't stop the customers waiting together with us from coming.

i laid my head on his shoulder, earning a giggle from him. i raised my eyebrows. "what?"

he shook his head slightly. "nothing." a smirk displayed on his face as even more confusion bubbled in me.

"tell me." i nudged his shoulder with my finger. he chuckled at my actions, giving me a head pat and a quick peck on the cheek.

i looked to him in surprise and let out a hearty chuckle, a soft blush radiating on my cheeks. "what was that for?"

he grinned, before a mischievous glint only i could notice was displayed in his eyes. i squinted my eyes at him, earning another soft kiss on the cheek. an elder woman stood to the side, smiling softly at the two of us. i flashed her a quick smile, maybe we're reminding her of her olden days.

sapnap pulled me closer to him, my head just under his chin. i let out a laugh, "what are you doing?"

he planted a quick kiss on my head. even though i enjoyed being in his embrace, the sudden acts of affection still confused me.

until i remembered the glint i his eyes. my eyes widened with realisation, oh no, he's gonna do something embarrassing.

i turned my head to him, raising an eyebrow. he only smirked before saying in a louder voice, "you are the best sister ever!"

he let go of me and walked away, stifling his laughter with a palm over his mouth. i froze, embarrassed and dumbfounded on what he just said out loud. i glanced to the side, noticing the elder lady. her once soft smile was replaced with a look of disgust.

my face flushed red, mentally noting to kill sapnap. he was in the corner, watching the scene he caused unfold, holding in his laughter.

i stormed to him, completely forgetting about the nuggets. i dragged him outside, his laughs finally released. "STOP LAUGHING DUMBASS YOU JUST EMBARRASSED ME!" i shouted at him, smacking him in the shoulders.

he only let out a louder laugh, holding his stomach in pain. "did- did you see that woman's face!" he let out in between wheezes, "she was fucking horrified!"

my face went read as the encounter replayed in my mind. "i am so breaking up with you." i joked with him, walking away. his laughs fell silent, i could feel his eyes widen. i smirked, my walk now turned into a jog.

his heavy footsteps chased me, "no- no wait! y/n, i'm sorry!"
