"So, what does Oniichan do when he is outside?", the 10 year old girl asked Yokozawa, who was now sitting on a table with her to get to know each other since it is the first time they met, unfortunately under in terrible circumstances.
After what happened, the young man decided to call Hiyori's father to inform him about it, but never did when the little girl dragged him to the table to 'sit and chat' as she said. Right now, they were eating two pieces of strawberry cake, being one of Hiyori's favorite dessert, of course after the Bavarian green tea cake, while Rotoko went outside for some shopping. "I saw him only two times, the first time was on Monday where I was sitting in this table with papa and eating lunch"
"The reason Hiyo hasn't seen me is because I am staying in a specific spot without being seen and wearing my helmet, watching the citizens interact while waiting for my subordinate to give me coordinates about an incident that might happen at this moment"
"So Oniichan is waiting for information?"
"That's correct, but today I decided to take the day off in order to help Shichiro-san with the store"
"Papa is calling Rotoko-san with his given name too! He actually asked papa to do it and papa didn't want to complain with the person he helped us come here in Sawara"
"I knew it that you weren't from here because I know all the citizens since we are a small town. So, where Hiyo and papa are from?", he asked and folded his arms on the table, watching the girl in front of him take a spoon of cake and tilting slightly her head to the right as if she was tasting the sweet. When she gulped the bite, she turned her eyes to see Yokozawa and said:
"We are coming from Tokyo. I was living there for almost 11 years while papa for almost 34. Suddenly papa's boss from work offered him a job as chief editor in Shirakawa publishing company."
"In which department?"
"I can't pronounce the name right, but I think Shoken? No, um... Shoden?"
"You mean Shonen?"
"Yes! How do you know that?"
"Well, I like manga a lot and I was going to be a Sales representative in manga department, but unfortunately I left Tokyo when I graduated University"
"Why?"
"It's a long story, you don't have to worry about it"
"O-Oh... Um... OK", the little girl said and continued eating her dish, with a sad smile on her lips, something that made Yokozawa gulp the limp on his throat. He didn't want to see the happy Hiyori saddened in a matter of seconds. So, he cleared his throat, gaining the girl's attention, and gave a small bow that made her surprised by it. "O-Oniichan?"
"Thank you for helping Shichiro-san with the Cafe"
"I was doing it to repay him for taking care of me while papa is working hard. I couldn't think something else, so I decided to help him with the orders"
"But still, you didn't have to do it"
"I don't mind. Besides, Rotoko-san rewarded me today with some green tea cake. By the way, Haru-chan, a girl I met recently who is going to be my classmate, told me that the green tea with the chocolate strips was made by you. I tasted the day I came here from Tokyo and it was amaaazing!"
"You liked it?"
"Very much! And then, Sharukai-sama told us that you are a very good cook"
"Well, I couldn't say that I am good -"
"But you worked as a sous chef in Tokyo when you were there, right?"
"Y-Yeah"
"So you know how to cook"
