Christmas was over, jughead spent both new years and Christmas in his room. "He's in his room" Fp says as she nods her head.
She knocks on his door "jug it's me betty" she says "come in.." jughead says as betty walks in and sees jughead laying under the covers staring at a empty cup. "Jug.." betty says walking over and sat on his bed and pulled the covers off his head, "do you want to talk?" Betty asked as he looks at her "she died in my arms.." jughead says as betty shifted and looked at him "she died were she felt the safest" betty says as jughead sadly smiles "come here" she says and pulls him into a hug "happy new year" she whispers as he lays down pulling her down with him "happy new year" he says as she laid down on his chest.

Winter break was over and school had started up again. School was definitely not the same for Kyle, Kimberly and jughead, it was different it felt off.
Kimberly and jughead were on edge and felt like dying but lucky Kim had Kyle and jughead had Betty by his side. After school they hung out in the  bunker Kyle and Kimber drinking, jughead reached over for one as Kyle stops him. "Nope" he says as jughead at him "dude.." jughead says as Kyle opens another cooler "you can have apple juice" Kyle says as jughead let's out a sigh "what? Want to make it milk?" Kyle says as jughead reached for the apple Juice and opens it. "That's not fair, you and Kimber get to drink and smoke and do all the cool things but I can't? We're all in the same grade!" Jughead says "yea but me and Kim have a bad habit and we are older than you-" "-Kim is only older than me by 4 days and you are only older by a month" jughead interrupts "we don't need you becoming a some what alcoholic like Kyle and a smoker like me okay? We want you to do better than the both of us- you need to do better than the both of us" Kimberly says "you guys are ass holes" jughead says with a chuckle and throws a pillow at the both of them making them laugh. Betty lets out a yawn and lays her head down on jugheads shoulders "hey, you wanna go home?" Jughead asked as she shook her head no and closed her eyes. "Hey betts theirs a bed over their you wanna take a nap their? I'll wake you up when we're done" jughead says as she nods and walks over to the little bed and lays down as jughead pulls the blanket over her before walking back and sat down in his chair.

After a while Kyle and Kimber had left. Jughead walked over to betty after cleaning up and looked at her sleeping soundly on the bed. "Hey Betty.." he says as she doesn't wake up, instead she turns the other way, away from him. He smiled and walked over to the couch in the bunker and laid down on it, yawning before closing his eyes and falling into a deep deep sleep. The next day betty woke up and looked around to see jughead sleeping on the couch. "Jug?" She says as he jumps up awake "sorry.." she says as he rubs his eyes and looks over at her "oh, I was going to wake you up but you kinda looks very peaceful and I just couldn't bring myself too, I text your mom to let her know you were staying at a friends house for the night so you should be okay" he says sleepily as she smiles "thank you jug" she says as he smiles "y-yea no problem..do you uh..wanna go for some pops?" He asked "yea- yea" she says.

They walked in silence until they say the light up pops sign. "after you" he says pulling the door open "thank you" she says as they walked in. They ordered their usuals and sat down at a booth across from each other in silence. Jughead noticed the difference between betty and veronica instantly.
With Veronica they could talk about anything and everything and maybe even talk for hours and with Betty they don't really talk, they never really did before either, jughead realized that with Betty they enjoy each other's presence, they can sit in silence besides each other for hours without having it be awkward.

He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a bunch of obnoxious jocks. "Hey look his the bitch and her little guard dog" Archie says and barks as the team mates copied him. Kyle and Kimberly walked in. Kyle looked over at jughead who's jaw was clenched. "You wanna bark at someone? Go look in the mirror" Kyle says as archie walks up "what did you just say" Archie said looking up at him "look if your trying to do those shi-crappy high school fights by squaring up to me at least be tall enough to look at my face and not my neck" Kyle says as everyone oo'd and jughead let's out a little snicker making Archie walk up to him but Kyle reached back and grabbed his jacket without looking and pulled him back shoving him into his bulldogs "Don't act all tough guy short guy, without that stupid jock jacket of yours you are just a shivering scared little puppy now scram on those four legs of yours you mutt" Kyle says as Archie scoffs "this isn't over" he says as he and his bulldogs walked away.

Kyle rolls his eyes and walked back to Kimberly throwing his arms around her and sat down with jughead and Betty. "Thanks dude, I wish you punched him though" jughead says to Kyle both chuckling "your welcome, I would've loved to punch him in the face but there are kids here and they shouldn't grow up thinking violence is the answer" Kyle says "oh Kyle is a softy now?" Betty says jokingly "only if there is kids around but I almost did say the s word" kyle whispers making them laugh. "Here are your coffee's" pops says and set their drinks down to them. Jughead talks out his wallet as pops shakes his head "oh no, it's on the house. Thanks to Kyle over here kicking those jocks out, they cuss so much parents always ask me to kick them out" pops says with a kind smile as they smiles "Kyle for the win!" Jughead says playfully punching his shoulder as pops smiled and walks away before turning a round "I'm sorry to hear about Veronica by the way..she was such an amazing wise young lady" pops says as they all smiled and nods their head "thank you" Kimberly says sadly as betty wraps her arms around Kimberly "it's gonna be okay" betty says as Kimberly nods. "So y'all wanna go to the fair?" Kyle asked out of the blue, "why?" Jughead asked "I though you hated fair's" Kimberly says "I know but they were Veronica's favorite. One why to keep her spirit alive is to do the things she loved and have fun doing it" Kyle says as jughead makes the 'he's got a point' face "I'm down" jughead says "well if jugheads down I'm in" betty says "I'm in" Kimberly says "cool we can go after we're done drinking our coffees" Kyle says as they all agreed.
