Months go by, betty and jughead haven't talked about this kiss that they shared but they are getting closer.

Jughead sat at the shop as ma and pa walked in.
"Ma! Pa!" Jughead says happy and walked over as they hugged him. "Your father told me about the young lady that use to work here where is she?" Ma asked "oh she's in New York now" jughead says "oh poor girl..we'll tell when you get the chance that we are here for her" pa says as jughead makes a weird face "she's okay she's living this her parents" jughead says "oh  she lives in a hospital room fighting for her life, cancer is no joke pumpkin" ma says as Jugheads eyes widen "mom dad" Fp says walking down the stairs and hugged them.

Jughead stood there processing and connecting everything. She left Riverdale with no word, passed out..and now she has cancer...Veronica has cancer. Jughead says to himself. "Jughead?" Fp says as jughead turns around. "You knew...Veronica has cancer..and you didn't tell me!?" Jughead says tears in his eyes "she asked me not to" Fp says as jughead sniffs. "Veronica has cancer.." jughead says. He walks over and grabs his Jacket and passport. "Boy where are you going!?" Fp shouts "New York to find out why she's trying to kick me out of her life when I still want her in mine" jughead says and walks out the door. "Well..go after him" ma says "no..he deserves some answers..he's almost 18..I'll call Hiram to pick him up" Fp says

Jughead grabs his passport and packs a few clothes. Jughead goes to the airport and waits for his flight.

Few hours later jughead arrived in New York. He walks outside to be greeted by Hiram. "Jughead over here!" He shouts as jughead turns around and smiles "nice to see you again jughead" Hiram says as jughead hugs him back "great to see you too" jughead says "come I'll take you to veronica..you deserve some answers.." Hiram says as jughead nods and gets in his car. "How did you know I was coming?" Jughead asked "your father called..jughead thank you for carrying so much about Veronica..she has been beating her self up for not saying anything to you..she misses you a lot" Hiram says as jughead let's out a sigh "I miss her too.." jughead says.

They arrived, jughead hesitated at first but then knocked on her bedroom door. "Come in" her Angelic voice called as he already feels his heart become heavy. He opens the door as Veronica turns around and her eyes widen. Jughead looks at her up and down. Iv's in her arm, skinner then ever...her hair all gone. She quickly digs for her head scarf and wrapped it around her head to cover her bald head as jughead drops his bags and ran up and hugged her before she could tie it making the scarf fall.

"I love you Veronica" jughead says into her neck as her heart smiles as tears filled her eyes knowing he doesn't love her the way she loves him but yet he still loves her. "I'm here..I'm gonna fight with you..you've got this" jughead says smiling and kissed her head. "I'm sorry..." she says both sitting on the roof top looking up at the shining stars. "Don't be" jughead says turning back and looks at her "but I am..I have cancer jughead..and in stead..instead of telling you I hid away from you. I mean what if..what if one of these days I died and you still didn't know and out of the blue you got a call that I died because of cancer..your hate me for ever.." Veronica says and jughead holds her hand and looks into her eyes, "I could never hate you..I mean how could I? Your so strong..funny..caring and..beautiful..." jughead says as she takes off her head scarf and looks at him "do you still think I'm beautiful?.." Veronica asked as jughead smiles "yes..you will always be beautiful" jughead says as Veronica shakes her head "I don't feel beautiful" she says as jughead shakes his head and claps both of her hands together. "Veronica look at me. You could be wearing what ever the hell you want, you don't have to have hair...you don't even need to have make up on.. and I will still find you beautiful.. what you wear...your hair...and make up..all of that does not define beauty. The beauty is found here.." jughead says pointing at we're her heart lies. "You are beautiful inside and out and if some Jackass at the park doesn't see that then..screw them! You don't have to wear things and have to have things to be beautiful to be loved to matter to someone, love and matterness comes from a person who loves you no matter how you look and what you have. They will love you for you as a whole. Never..never change yourself for some jackass expectation and vision for perfection and definitely not look for someone's else's approval for what you want. All of that is for and from you no one's else not even me. Veronica.." jughead says and cups her cheek "you are the most strong and beautiful women I know..and if anyone could beat cancers ass it's you.." jughead says as she smiles "thank you" she says as he pulls her closer to him as she lays her head on his chest.

"Jughead.." she says "mmh?" He replies "Soon I'll become one of those stars- and don't tell me that I won't because I know I will..don't cry when I'm gone, don't hold back from your future because of me, don't stay in New York or Riverdale because you miss me or feel like you would leave me behind if you left either place.. don't cry because I died..cry and celebrate because I lived.. go travel the world..go and live out your life and if not for you then for me. Because when I'm gone.. I'll always be with you and if there ever comes a day where you miss me so much..just look at the sky..there will always be a star..shining wither it's day time or night time
There will always be a star shining and that will always be me" Veronica says as jughead kisses her head and squeezes her shoulders "okay.." jughead says "okay.." she says and closes her yes and takes in a deep breath.

And just like that a few weeks later...Veronica Luna...passed away..
She passed peacefully..no suffering..just like a long sleep.

The night she passed was Jugheads last night in New York City, she was laying in his arms as he told her memories of him Kimber, Kyle and Veronica. When they were young. She closed her eyes and listened to her voice and just like that she left.
Jughead remembers that night clear as day.

"Remember that night?" Jughead says with a chuckle he looks down at her raven hair "Veronica?" He asked getting up as her body fell limp he picks her up and holds her in his lap and felt her Pulse which was no long there.. her body got colder and colder by the seconds. Hiram walks in as jughead looks up at him with red tears eyes "she didn't suffer.." jughead says as hiram nods his head and walks over to the bed and holds her and sobs.

Now jughead was back home sitting on the trip if his trailer home looking up at the night sky numb, cold and alone. Kyle would have been there but Kimber was falling apart she had just lost her only cousin and so jughead sent Kyle back to take care of Kimber. Jughead just sits there searching for the brightest star. "Jughead" betty says climbing up as jughead turns to look at him. "How are you holding up?" She asked him "not too good" jughead says as betty sits down next to him "I'm sorry for your loss...I know how much she meant to you" betty says as jughead looks away and back at the star "thank you" he says and smiles and let's out a soft chuckle as betty makes a weird face he turns and looks at betty "she became a star.." jughead says "huh?" Betty says confused "look at that one right there almost shaped like the letter V" jughead says as betty smiles as she sees it "it's the brightest one out of the rest" she says as he smiles "she was right...she'll always be with me.." jughead says with a smile as lays his head on Betty's shoulder as she lays her head on top of his.
