Hello my beautiful snowflakes!!! First of all, I just want to apologise for changing the name of this story, the thing is I didn't feel the title would relate to the story that much, but "Keeper" definitely does, soon you will find out why ;). I hope you enjoy this part, as I always say I love reading your comments and see that you guys keep adding my stories to your libraries, it means a lot to me!!! Thank you very very much!!
ZOE:
“Zoe!”
That was all she heard, before being pulled into a hug by four skinny arms.
“Nicky… Sam… I can’t breath,” she murmured, running out of air.
“How have you been?! Oh my God, twenty two days without seeing you! Don’t do that again! Did you take pictures? And what did you buy? I want to… Hi, Liam,” Sam greeted my friend, after talking non-stopping.
“Hi, Sam,” he smiled at her. “Well, Zoe, it seems that you’ve been taken away from me, I’ll call you later, okay?”
She nodded and saw him walking away, until he turned around and walked towards her again. Zoe knew she shouldn’t get her hopes up, and still knowing that there was no way in hell that it was ever going to happen, she just wished that he had walked back to tell her that he had missed her because he loved her, and kiss her like she had imagined so many times before. Instead, he said:
“I almost forgot, Josh’s having a party at his house tonight. If you want to come, I’ll be very happy, I’ll see you there?”
Zoe smiled happily, and thought ‘He surely has something he wants to say to me’.
Liam never invited her to his friends’ parties nor let her go if she got invited by one of his mates, because he said that those ‘twats’ were going to be ‘all over her’ and he didn’t want to ‘break their noses’, mostly after Matt, his best friend told her… Well, she didn’t want to recall it, but he had been very creative and anatomical, that was for sure.
She nodded one last time and then he walked away.
After forty exahusting minutes telling Nicky and Sam about the trip, gossips and other non-important stuff, Zoe had to go, as her friends had to leave to go to Maths class.
Walking the only two blocks that separated the bus stop from her house, Zoe noticed how the cold was increasing, and felt her cell phone vibrating in her pocket just once; she knew it was a text message, and it could wait till she got inside.
As she got closer to the path that lead to her home, Zoe saw a car parked at the neighbor’s house. A slender, short-haired woman, dressed up in a suit got off of it. By her side there was a guy who couldn’t be more than a year older than her, maybe her same age.
She kept glaring at them, a strange look on her face for sure. Suddenly, the woman made eye contact with her, and walked quickly towards her with a smile on her face, as if she wanted to tell Zoe something.
“Allison has gone to the supermarket about two hours ago; we bumped into each other there.” She must have seen the girl’s confused look, because she laughed softly and extended her hand towards her. “I´m sorry, you must be Zoe, my name is Maura, we moved in just a couple of weeks ago.”
“Hi Maura, nice to meet you,” she answered, with a lot of questions mumbling in her head and still looking at the guy behind Maura. “And yeah, I’m Zoe.”
“Yes, I recognized you from the pictures… your mum and I have been getting along really good these past weeks, she’s been showing me around and I saw pictures from your trip, did you have a god time?”
