Birthdays

It was January 12th, Naya's birthday. Naya LOVED her birthday and would always get super excited for it every year, the same way a little kid would.

This was the fifth birthday you'd be spending with Naya so you wanted to make it special and get her a gift that she'd love so this year you had your work cut out for you.

You woke Naya up at around 9am which was a lay in compared to what the girl was used to lately. You made her her favourite pancakes with a side of fresh fruits and the expensive coffee that she secretly loved but hated to pay the ridiculous price to get the special pods imported.

You placed the tray on table by the side of her bed and you noticed she began to stir. You smiled at the sleepy girl and placed kisses on her face.

'Good morning my beautiful birthday girl'

She pulled you into her, giving you a long sloppy kiss before she broke away to ask 'oh my god Y/N, is that the smell of that coffee i like?' the eyes widened 'it sure is, honey. I ordered a couple cases in as a surprise for your birthday. I also made you breakfast'

After breakfast was over and you had finished lounging around it was about 11:30 when the two of you decided it was time to shower and get ready for what you had planned for the rest of the day.

You both went into the shower together, giving Naya another birthday treat before the two of you made your way over to your walk in wardrobe.

You both picked out your outfits you wanted to wear, colour checking with eachother first like you did every day to make sure your outfits didn't clash and then put your makeup on before heading down to your car. You had packed your car with everything you needed the night before which you were grateful for right now.

You told Naya she had to put a blindfold on about halfway through the drive to make sure it wouldn't ruin the surprise.

Once you arrived at your destination, you helped her out of the car and then let her see the sight in front of her. She let out a gasp 'The cabin we got stuck at when we first met? I thought the owners tore it down?'

The girl was not wrong, the original cabin had been torn down but due to the amount of photos you had of the old place and the help of your big brother Cory's friend who happened to build cabins, you managed to buy the land and have his friend rebuild it.

You explained the story to Naya and she was over the moon. This was better than anything she could've imagined. You both had always wanted to come out here more often and now that the place was yours, you would be.

later on that evening after you had a romantic home cooked meal.

After setting up a campfire with nearly a million blankets due to the January weather, the two of you popped open a bottle of Naya's favourite wine. Reflecting over how your relationship had began. You were grateful that Naya wasn't bothered by the age gap, or that you were one of the best friend's/co star's little sister. She loved you for you.

You looked up at the stars, this was something you loved to do but rarely got the chance to due to the city's light pollution levels.

While you were directed you hadn't noticed that Naya slipped out of the blanket and turned to you

'I know it's my birthday but hear me out, I know this is the only time i knew i'd be able to catch you off guard'

There she was, down on one knee with a diamond ring in her hand.

'so with that being said, will you, miss (your full name), make me the happiest birthday girl ever and say yes to being my wife? Y/N, will you marry me?'

She had barely finished her sentence before you leapt out of your seat smashing your lips together, your cold red noses coming into contact. She slipped the ring on your cold finger.

You took a couple photos together, of eachother, the cabin and of course the ring before you cleared everything up and the two of you went inside.

'how does it feel to be such an old lady' you teasingly asked sticking out your tongue. Naya, full of whit of course had the perfect come back for you 'Watch your mouth YOUNG lady, it's not too late for me to slip that ring off your finger and find someone from prehistoric times just like me'

You spent the rest of the night giggling away. Naya really did have the best birthday ever today and it was all because of you.

Before you headed off to bed Naya decided to post the photos from earlier you had taken onto her instagram account.

The first one was a candid photo of you with both your ring and the cabin visible in the photo, the second being the two of you kissing, the third being a close up of the ring while you held hands, the fourth being your cabin (since it was now privately owned land, Naya had no issues posting it anywhere) and the last being a candid photo you had taken of your now fiancé.

She had captioned the post 'She built me a cabin AND promised to marry me? 34 is looking good already. I can't wait to spend more time here with my beautiful fiancé.'

As soon as Naya had made her post, you shared it to your instagram story and you both turned off your phones knowing that they would instantly be blowing up from fans, friends and relatives.

The two of you were in pure bliss and Naya really did have the best day ever.

Today would be Naya's 34th birthday so i wanted to write a little happy imagine to try spread positivity on a hard day

all the best guys, today is tough but we'll get through this together.

(i also havent checked this for errors yet, i started writing it at like 1am-ish and finished it about half hour ago at 2ish so i'm kinda tired.) (+yes it took me that long, my adhd means my attention span is awful so that was super quick for me💀)
