It's time to come home part I

It's been ten years since you left Mckinley high and fled to the sunshine coast for college. You left all your friends and family and began your journey to become a lawyer and ten years later here you are, a great success.

It was a Friday night. For most, this would mean a night of partying or relaxation but as one of California's top lawyers, it meant reviewing upcoming cases with a glass of wine in hand. Your work day had been long enough and your eyes grew tired rapidly. By 9pm you decided to call it a night with work and head up to your room to get a bit of 'me time' in before bed.

Once you had showered and done your skin routine, you hopped into some fluffy pyjamas and practically dove into your oversized bed. You opened your phone to find a text from the one and only, Quinn Fabray. Your best friend during high school.

Seeing the name on your screen made you smile. Since leaving high school you had taken your studies and job so seriously that you had lost contact with nearly everyone other than the blonde cheerleader. She was inviting you to a high school reunion.

The thought of returning flooded your head with happy memories of the place, so did your four year relationship with Santana that you threw away to be a lawyer. Your thoughts weren't so happy anymore, still feeling tremendous guilt for leaving the brunette.

Although it had been ten years, you still missed the girl awfully. Since being away from Lima, you hadn't perused any relationships, only hookups as your heart still belonged to your first love. Would Santana be there?

After some thinking and reflecting, you accepted Quinn's offer to attend and that's when you realised how much you missed home, how much you missed your friends and how much you missed Santana. Was Santana even still living at home? Would she even be coming? The reunion was set to take place in a month. You knew you had to return home for good.

The next day you started wrapping up all of your cases and refusing to take on anymore knowing you wouldn't finish them in time to make it home. You set up an appointments with a real estate agent and put your house up for sale. You knew Quinn had also just moved back home with Rachel after deciding they were done with New York so although they didn't know it yet, you were going to crash with them until you found a home to buy in Lima. You were ready to come home.
