Alivia POV :/

That night came to an end rather quickly. I woke up and dressed up to get ready to go to the library with Cameron. I was walking by my father's study door when I overheard my Father speaking with someone. I couldn't quite make out what he was saying. I walked closer to the door and put my ear against the door. I then heard my father chuckling and then saying: "Yes of course I was just using Alivia for her connections with the upper-class boys she hangs around with however, I now have Lily she is much more beautiful and more intelligent than Alivia would ever be."

I was very frustrated at my father, who I thought I could trust. I should have known better, it's unbearable to think that .. that man was faking his love for me. I then thought if I act as though I never knew then maybe. .. I can stab him in the back. Just as he would do to me soon enough. I then called my maid over. which she then escorted me to the carriage.

I got in the carriage and saw a book in my maid's hand and asked her " What's the book you're holding in your hands." She looked startled a bit at my sudden question and said, " I'm holding Imperial fiction you told me to carry your things." I remember Edward reading this book and he had accidentally left it at the party. I then ask "May I look at the book." The maid agreed quickly and handed me the book. I was flipping through the pages and saw a waxed stamped letter with an E initial on the letter. I assume it stands for Edward, I open the letter slowly.

And once I opened the letter and it read "Dear Aliva Evergreen, I Edward Williams want to sincerely apologize for coming off as rude and cold. I'm aware you will never receive this letter but it helps ease my mind a bit. My mother is aware that my father likes you very much and my father wants you to marry me or my brother Oliver. My mother despises me thus she has threatened me several times not to get close to you. My mother told me to come off as rude and if not it will result in a beating. People are watching me everywhere so I'm forced to do as she says. I am truly very sorry for all the discomfort I may have caused ."

I shed a tear knowing Edward was hurting. I remember when we were outside of the garden I saw a bruise on his leg. I felt sick knowing Edward was beaten for trying to be nice to me. I need to help him in some way but for now, I must keep this information to myself. I have to act like I didn't just read a sad letter. So I try my best to mask my expression.

We soon arrived at the library and  I saw Cameron standing waiting. I got outside the carriage waving and saying "Hello, Cameron how have you been." Cameron responded, "I'm doing great, thank you for asking, let's go inside, and let's go pick out books together." There was a wide smile on Cameron's face. Then Cameron interlocked my hands with his and pulled me gently upstairs.

I was flustered and trying to hide my face because it began to turn slightly pink. Then Cameron looks at me and says, "You're looking a little pink  are you okay?" I responded, "Yeah, I'm fine, I was just nervous." I see a smirk on Cameron's face and say, "You're nervous about what." I stood there in shock and got even redder and said "It's very hot in here." Cameron started laughing and said, "I was joking, let me get you water." Cameron went downstairs and I sighed loudly.

I then began to look through the bookshelves and I saw a book that looked interesting and tried reaching but I was too short then I saw Cameron hovering over me getting the book I wanted. Camero was very close to me and put a book right in front of me and he smiled. Cameron said, "Is this the book you were trying to get and I got you a glass of water." I said, "Thank you so much, I appreciate it." Cameron said, "No need to thank me, you did lend me a book the first time we met."

Cameron had his hands out with the book I wanted to read but it seemed like he was interested in it too. I will let Cameron have it, Cameron would then say, "The book from the first time we met I finished reading the book, oh  and thank you for lending me the book." I said, "Oh no problem" Cameron then looked at his watch and had a scared look on his face and ran and yelled back while running "IM SORRY I NEED TO GO." I couldn't say anything back because he left fast. He took the book with him. I should have said goodbye to Cinderella.

Thank you so much for reading my book. I greatly appreciate it. Some juicy stuff is going to happen in the next chapter so look for updates this week!! Bye and have a good day!
