Chapter 10

Atem's POV

Today is the day. The day of the spell. The day I can finally get my Aibou back. I've waited so long to do this. I don't know what I'm gonna do if this doesn't work. I go down to Ishizu's to report in and to make sure everything is in place. "Hello Atem. How is Yugi this morning," she asks. "Just as cheery as ever," I say. "Alright everything is in place and were ready for you signal to be at the ready. Did Marik and Bakura tell you what to say," she asks. "Yes they did. I may use it if it'll work," I say. 

She nods and I hand her the ceremonial knife. I refused to hand it over until the last possible second. "I'll take care of this and return it immediately after the spell is done," she says. I nod and head back upstairs. I take a deep breathe and go inside. I look and see Yugi laying on the couch partially upside down with his head on the floor and feet across the rest of the couch. "Oh look the dumbass has finally returned," he says. "Shut up midget weeb," I say. "What did you just call me," he says sitting up. 

"Did I fucking stutter," I ask. "You fucking asshole. I'll lay you out," he says. "You'll lay me out. That sounds like a good time to me," I say. He growls at me and I can see the anger building in him. Perfect. I need him to be as pissed off as possible. "As if I'd let you come within ten feet of me," he says with a snarl. I chuckle. "Oh but I've touched you before. Had my hands on that sweet ass of yours and tasted all of you," I say. "So what. The past is called the past for a reason," he says. I roll my eyes.

"Or its the present. I mean you came to me last night begging to be touched. Begging for me to fuck your brains out. I was only happy to oblige," I say. He roars and I smirk at him keeping up the act as I take off down the hallway towards the stairs with him in hot pursuit. I round the corner as quick as I can and shout loud enough for them to hear in Isis and Ishizu's lab. "Oh come on I recall you being faster than this. For a vampire you're slow as fuck," I say. He shouts in rage and comes at me quicker. It's almost fast enough to catch me. 

I reach the doorway and run inside into the circle. He runs in and grips my shirt growling in my face. "I have you where I want you," I say. "What," he says and looks around. They all step into their places in the circle except Anzu. She belongs in the center but we can't let her do that until the rest of the elements are called. He runs around trying to get out, but he can't because the circle he stepped into is enchanted. "The fuck are you doing," he yells. "Saving you," I say. I walk over to Ryou. 

"We call the element Air to this circle," I say and light the candle and the wind rushes around us and I move to Tristan. "We call the element Water to this circle," I say and light the candle and you can hear waves crashing against a shore and smell seawater. Yugi tries to attack me, but the magic of the circle keeps him trapped in his place. I go over to Seto. "We call the element Earth to this circle," I say and you can smell fresh cut grass and dirt. I go to Joey and he smiles at me and gives me a thumbs up. 

I smile at him. "We call the element Fire to this circle," I say. The candle lights itself and flares brightly before settling down. I step to the center with Anzu. She gives me her signature bright smile. "We call the element Spirit to this circle," I say and light the candle. I feel my own spirit leap and dance. Each person's spot on the floor starts to glow and we all connect with each other. I nod at Ishizu and she brings the book with the spell forward along with the knife. "Magic of Light please hear my call. I wish to save the soul of my Aibou, my Light, my Mate," I say.

The magic around us flares and Yugi roars as if being burned. I gasp and look at him. "You have to continue. It's gonna hurt him cause of the Black Magic," she says. I start the part of the spell that's in the ancient language. Yugi screeches and writhes. "Stop this you idiot," he yells. "No I have to save you," I say. I slice my palm and allow my blood to flow into the bowl. I then pull out a vial from around my neck that I've kept close since it was given to me. 'Here Mou Hitori I want you to have this. Just in case I'm not able to give you my blood and you need it.' 

I can practically hear his voice. I drop his blood into the bowl and it glows. I look at Yugi as he starts to glow and he holds his head groaning. I finish the spell and he looks at me. His eyes clear up a little. "Mou Hitori no Boku," he says before passing out on the floor and rush up to him and turn him over. "The spell should have worked. You have to release the elements and close the circle first," she says and I nod and do as she says. I pick Yugi up and hold him close to me. "Yugi I'm so sorry. Please forgive me," I say.
