"Quite hot in there isn't it?" Lyrics look at him and raise an eyebrow. "I'm sorry...who are you again?"

"Oh, I'm Caleb Covington, Lyrical Johnson correct?" She nods her head at him. "Quite the performance you had there, your voice is quite amazing too."

"Um, thank you" she says to the 'Abe Lincoln' in front of her.

"You're quite something, powerful I don't know, say..what's your family history like?"

She shrugs. "I don't know, I know nothing of my parents really, I live with my brother."

"No problem, I can find that out. Say...do you know I'm a ghost?"

Her eyes widen. "Oh uh, not until-"

"Now, yes of course. You see you've got some type of gifts for sure, I'm not allowing you to see me, you can also touch and see ghost oras, what else can you do?" He takes a closer step.

"Um, I really should go. But friends are performing and um-"

"Yes, yes go. Say, Do you like Luke?" He asks. "Sorry– I don't know what you–"

"I mean," he cuts her off. "He does have a thing for Julie."

"What–"

"You better get going. You'll miss the show." He smiled.

"I got a spark in me
Hands up if you can see
And you're a part of me
Hands up if you're with me
Now 'til eternity
Hands up if you believe
Been so long, and now we're finally
free"

Lyrical walked in to the performance. Standing next to Carrie.

"I got a spark in me
Hands up if you can see
And you're a part of me
Hands up if you're with me
Now 'til eternity
Hands up if you believe
Been so long, and now were finally
Free"

"I got a spark in me

I got a spark in me

And you're a part of me

And you're a part of me

Now 'til eternity

Now 'til eternity

Been so long, and now we're finally free"

Watching julie and Luke this time felt different for Lyric. Not like the first time she watched them. There was more chemistry than before.

"I got a spark in me
Hands up if you can see
And you're a part of me
Hands up if you're with me
Now 'til eternity
Been so long, and now were finally
Free"

"Finally free,
Yeah"

The song finished and Carrie gave Lyric a stare. "Seriously, is there something going on with you and that guitarist?" Lyric shakes her head and watches as the tall woman walks over to them. Carrie tries to talk to her but doesn't quite work. "Anyways, I actually wanted to talk to your friend, heres my card, call me if you ever think about it." She hands Lyrical her card and she puts it in her pocket,

"Hey!" Someone said behind Lyric, she waved and kept walking

"Hey, you okay?" She turns around and sees Luke.

"Yeah, yeah I'll see you later" she smiled and walked off. Opening the door, it was now cool again. She felt free. Like something just lifted off her chest

"Hey, let me walk home with you!"

"No thanks Luke. I'm fine go be with Julie or something"

"I'd rather walk you home"

"Alright fine, come on then"

Skipping forward to catch up with her, he puts a arm around her shoulder and she grabs his hand lightly rubbing her thumb across it. "Whatcha got?" Luke said and she shrugged. "I'm not really thinking on doing it, I mean it would be cool but, I don't know, I don't wanna take Carrie's dream you know? I mean theres been so many times where I just wanna be able to show my voice to the world without having to dance."

"Well then, what do you wanna do?"

"I don't know, singing would be amazing, having fans, showing the world my voice, going to red carpets. But that would mean I'd have to dress all fancy pants and I don't do that, I'd rather go Billie Eilish and be myself" she said Luke stopped and looked at her, and she stopped a few inches away.

"If doing music is something you wanna do, go for it. Follow your heart it's so important for you to do, not following it will make you miserable, knowing that the one thing you wanted to do, you missed the chance" Luke said stepping closer.

"I-um yeah, maybe I should follow my heart for a change. Thanks Luke, oh um. D'ya wanna come in or?"

"No thanks, the boys would rather wanna come as well."

"Okie Dokie, see you later Luke"

"Bye Lyric"

"Bye Luke"

Lyric walk off in to her house taking off her coat.

"Heyo, wassup Lyric" Her brother said.

"Hey brooke, sorry I got home late—"

"Nah it's fine L, anyways how was the gig?"

"I um, maybe got a record producers card.."

"What! That's amazing" he said hugging the girl. "You gonna take it?" She shrugged.

"I don't know brooke, I mean I really wanna take it but...I can't write songs—"

"Lyrical Johnson. D'you really think that every artist writes their own songs?"

shrug.

"God Lyric, here. Go up to your room and look at your notes you stick on your wall every day. I'm sure you can write song out of them"

She nods and heads upstairs, In to her room she walks over to her desk and picks off the sticky notes. But not finding anything so she decided to write the first thing that came to mind on a sticky note and put it on her wall to get back to later on.

C'mon and let it out.
Don't gotta hide it
Let your colors blind their eyes
Be who you are, no compromise.

She sticks the note on her, wall and gets ready for bed. She stares up at the ceiling, at the painted stars she painted herself. Should I take that deal?
