Wanderer [Bfb Fanfiction]

*stranger danger*

My head.

All I remember was rolling down a hill and everything went black. What happened?

I opened my eyes, and the light pretty much blinded me. I eventually got used to the light and fully opened my eyes to see that I was in a field. A normal, green field this time.

I could see what looks to be a city in the distance. The sun was setting, and all was silent, so I decided to rest there for the night. 

As I walked I thought about Balloon and if he is safe, or how my old friends are doing, oh how I miss them. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I didn’t steal that damn island, which I still have on me.

I wonder what I should do with it, I could possibly sell it for a ton of money, but I don’t think I could do that. I guess I’ll just keep it for now, I’ll figure out what to do with it later.

I looked up to see I was right at the entrance of the city, it had tall skyscrapers and short shops, it reminded me of Yoyle City to be honest, the only difference was it was grey and black instead of purple. 

As I entered the city I could see many objects going about their daily lives, parents with their children, objects that looked absolutely exhausted just trying to make a living, rich, poor, you name it.

As I walked I saw a small bakery, I watched two objects walk out of the store, laughing while eating what looked to be blueberry muffins. Those looked amazing.

As I opened the door I heard a bell ringing, the smell of bread and other pastries clouding my senses. 

“Oh! Hello there! What can I get you?” I jumped at the sound of a voice. I turned around to see another leaf standing behind the counter.

I walked over to the counter and looked at the menu, banana bread sounds amazing right now, my mouth waters at the thought of it.

“Well what do we have here, another plant? A leaf too!” the other leaf looked old, she sounded like it too. “What can i get you?”

“I would like the banana nut bread please.” I was surprised, I never expected to see another leaf, I know others exist, but they are far and inbetween. 

“Right, I’ll get right on that!” The leaf seemed friendly, I wonder if all leaves have a friendly personality or if that is just a coincidence.

“Here you go! That will be 10$ maam” I nod and hand her some cash. She smiles and I grab the loaf and turn to leave.

“Not to be too intrusive, but what kind of leaf are you?” I turn around and look at her, she still has a kind smile on your face. 

“I’m a lemon leaf.” her smile brightens. Suddenly her face drops and she gasps.

“Oh! My name is Rose Leaf, you can just call me Rose!” she chirps, “May I get your name?”

“I’m Leafy.” 

“What a pretty name! May I ask where you're from?” The abundance of questions was making me a little uncomfortable, but Rose seems nice, and there's no harm in answering them.

“Goiky.” her face morphs into a look of surprise. 

“The weird place with the purple grass!?”

“Not all of the grass is purple.”

“What are you doing all the way out here? Goiky is days away from here!”

“I… that’s a long story..”

“We don’t get travelers very often, especially ones as young as yourself, I’d be careful out there, you never know who could be hiding in the shadows.” it was quiet for a second before I eventually left without looking back, that lady was creepy and raised a ton of red flags. 

I sat on a park bench and ate my bread, it was one of the best things I have tasted in a long time. 

I watched the mesmerizing flow of the park fountain, the water slowly going in circles over and over again. I felt my eyelids get heavy as my head layed on the metal wires of the bench. I tried to keep myself awake but it felt as if I was being forced into unconsciousness by something.

As I layed there, slowly falling asleep, I could have sworn I heard children's laughter right before my vision went black and my mind numb.
