THIS IS NOT A SHIP

THIS IS NOT A SHIP

Wilbur has a 3-5 year old sister/brother he cares for and they had a nightmare and went to him crying while he was streaming. I'm turning the brother into Fundy.

"Hello, and welcome back! Today, I'm gonna play Minecraft, and-"

"Daddy?"

Wilbur smiled to himself, turning around in his chair to see Fundy at the door. "Yes?"

"I can't sleep! I had a scary dweam!" There were tears in his eyes.

"Hang on a sec Floris. Sorry guys, but I don't think I'll be able to stream today. Cheers!" He ended the stream, and then got up. "You had a scary dream?" He asked as he swept up the five year old into his arms.

"Y-Yeah! There was a big scary monster- and I couldn't find you! I was scared!"

Wilbur ruffled Fundy's hair as he sat down on the edge of Fundy's bed. The room was fox themed, with lots of field scenes on the walls, a fox rug, and Fundy's favorite plush arctic fox. He had a little cd player too, which was playing some comfy guitar music of Wilbur's. "You couldn't find me, huh?"

"Yeah! I c-couldn't find G-Grandpa, or U-Uncle Techno, or Uncle Tommy!" Fundy buried his tear soaked face in Wilbur's sweater, leaving light damp spots.

"Ah, it's alright Floris. I promise nothing scary will come to get you, I promise. Here, I'll sing you to sleep, okay?"

"Yes Daddy! Song!" The five year old eagerly let Wilbur put him in his bed, nuzzling into the warm sheets with excitement, wondering what his dad would sing. Wilbur put on a specific guitar track on the CD player, and smiled at Fundy. "I made this one for you." Fundy giggled a bit as his dad started to sing.

"It always seems more quiet in the dark
It always feels so stark
How silence grows under the moon
Constellations gone so soon

I used to think that I was bold
I used to think love would be fun
Now all my stories have been told
Except for one"

Wilbur smiled at little Floris, who looked dazzled.

"As the stars start to align
I hope you take it as a sign
That you'll be okay
Everything will be okay"

And if the seven rings collapse

A loud noise burst through the air, ripping the grounds to shreds.  Fundy was thrown back by the explosion, hitting the ground hard. He could hear the screams of his fellow revolutionaries as they ran away from the wide open mouth of the earth.

Although the day could be my last

Fundy watched in disbelief as his dad sank to the ground, whispering words nobody could hear at Grandpa Philza.

And then his dad died in front of his eyes.

You will be okay

He didn't even say goodbye.

When I'm gone you'll be okay

"Will I Dad?"
