The smell of pancakes entered my nose, pulling me out of my sleep. Carefully I got up from my comfy bed and stretched the bones in my body. It somehow felt always pretty good, when I did that. Kids hollered outside, laughs and conversations seem to bug my ears. A smile was recognizable though, because it was one day before Halloween, which is my favorite day in the entire year. I loved all the decorations, the costumes, the pranks and even the sweet candy , which was ready to be taken, by the children at the front door. The Halloween spirit was something, that noone could top, except Christmas...everyone seemed to just adore this type of time in the year.

I excitedly got up, totally forgot about the food downstairs for a second. I threw one of my boyfriends hoodies over my body, comfy wear is life. What I adored more than the comfortable feeling, that I was receiving from it is the fact, that it was oversized. It looks on me more like a dress, than some hoodie. The smell of his perfume entered my nose, causing me to bury my head even deeper into the dark fabric. That's what I call comfy. The feeling of safety and home. I open the door, stepping out of our shared bedroom. I immediately walk down the hallway, right towards the kitchen, where my boyfriend awaits me with his signature smile.

"Good Morning, Sunshine. Hope you slept well, after this rather unpleasant night." He spoke calmly. His eyes roam my body, a smirk was noticeable as soon as he recognized his hoodie.
I played with the end of its sleeve, shifting from one leg to the other.

"Yeah, it was alright. Thank you though...for being there for me."

"Always."

I smile at his answer and rushed to my seat. Talking always gets me hungry, especially when I just woke up. Anthony chuckled and got the rest out of the pan. His eyes were focused on the food, not wanting to mess it up. He has always been a perfectionist, which was showing full on display.

"Figured that you'd like something sweet at the morning. Just to lighten up the mood." Anthony said as he approached the table with two plates in his hands.

"That's very sweet of you..."

He placed the dishes down, leaning over towards my head and kissing it, before sitting down as well. I blushed at his actions, it was always random when he did that, though it always was pure bliss for my heart. He always manages to male my heart skip a beat, even though we've been together for quite some time now.

"Hope you enjoy the food, you know that I'm not the best cook there is..." He began to mumble as he rubbed the back of his neck. A blush hushed over his cheeks, though the smile never faltered.

"Well, even if it's not that good, it's the thoughts that counts. I know, that you put your heart into this and I'm very happy to have you in my life." I answer smiling and dug into the pancakes with the fork. Anthony did so as well, the blush increases though.

We ate in silence, enjoying the moment we shared. It wasn't a uncomfortable silence, it was peaceful. My eyes would often shift towards him, just to admire his handsome features. Though I could discover, that he was watching me from time to time as well. After breakfast he instantly put the dishes away, not even bothering to clean up. It was important to him, that we shared the work in this house. He began to humm a tone, his hands scrubbed the dirty from the porcelain and yet again he was focused. I slowly walk up to him, leaning my head against his back, while my arms hugged him from behind. He chuckles at that and turns his head my way. I glance up into his green eyes, which were sparkling in affection.

"What you doing there, goofball?" He questioned smiling and turns off the sink.

"I need Love and affection." I mumbled into his shirt and bury my face even deeper.

He now turns his body completely my way. He snakes his arms around my body, pulling me even closer, if that was even possible. He was hugging me tightly, though he was making sure not to hurt my petite body. He sighs under his breath, a sigh out of relief.

"I love this moment..." he whispered under his breath, though I understood it perfectly.

"I love you, Anthony."

He squeezed my body. "I love you more, mi amor."

We shared this hug for a few seconds, though it felt like a thousand years.

"How about we start to decorate our house? I know how much you enjoy celebrating Halloween, so I think it's time for some spook!" He declared proudly and rushed to the stairs, which led to the attic. I laughed at his behavior and quickly followed his steps, not wanting to get left behind. I wonder how this years Halloween will go.
