College
I didn't have plan to go to college cos we couldn't afford it. Luckily, my English teacher (I found this out after I got the scholarship) listed my name to be interviewed for the scholarship. The top 3 students in each schools were the qualified ones to apply for it. I was the top 4 (general) but I heard the top 2 could afford to go college so I was included. I passed the interview and became one of the scholars. My parents were happy cos they didn't have to pay for the tuition fee. The foundation provided it for us. I was excited and nervous at the same time. I wanted to study Linguistics but sadly, we weren't allowed to study in the city. We didn't have the course in our place so I ended up taking Information Technology cos my schoolmate went for it. 😅 I didn't like my course at first but I studied hard to maintain my grades for 4 years. It was difficult since I didn't own any computer or laptop. I always did my programming projects at school. I never got the chance to practice it. I graduated with the highest honor but I wasn't that confident to work in that field. You can say I wasted my four years cos I didn't pursue that field. It was like for the sake of having a college degree. It was heart-wrenching.
