"I'm just a cat, nothing more"

╚═══*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═══╝

Emiri was a student of U.A, not a hero course student though. She was in one of the support course classes. Not that she really minded. Her quirk had never been one that was useful for hero work. It was simply a quirk that let her have cat-like abilities. Not that it was something she could control. She was born into her quirk.

She was simply born a cat.

Not that she really minded. It wasn't like she could do much more than what she did. Her quirk was small and useless. She wasn't small, but she certainly was useless. She was aware of her place in the world.

She didn't get to choose her place in her life, but it was a simple one. She lived with her father, who's quirk she had inherited. She never met her mother, at least not that she remembered. According to her father mother died not long after she was born.

When Emiri would ask, he would simply avoid the question. He would simply shrug it off, say he'd tell her some other day. Emiri eventually gave up on asking him.

"Dad!," she called out. Her bookbag was slung over her shoulder, harboring everything she'd need for the school day, "I'm heading out to school." she spoke out before he could respond.

"Alright, have a good day!," came her father's response.

"Bye dad, love ya." she spoke, before making her way out of the door. She hums as she closed it behind her. Emiri headed her way towards the school building of U.A. She was lucky enough to live close to the school. She was also early to school anyways. Letting out a hum, the girl made her way through the gates.

Today was certain going to be an easier day. At least she hoped. She would remember yesterday's rain. It seemed like it was never going to stop, but today it was much clearer and sunnier. She definitely enjoyed it a lot more. She especially didn't like getting her fur wet. On her way into the school, her gaze flickered over towards the fellow students entering the school.

Some of them she recognized, being her peers in class. Others were those in the hero course. One having brown hair and lilac colored hues. Emiri never bothered to learn who the elf-eared girl was. It didn't matter though. She was a hero course student and she was a support course. Letting out a hum, Emiri pushed her way past two dark haired classmates who shouted out their protests.

Emiri paid no mind to them. She had places to be. If she was being honest, she was surprised she wasn't in general studies. She was barely good enough to be in the support course. Most of her little gadgets didn't work most of the time. Specifically a pair of metal cat-like claws. They seemed to not work no matter how many times she tried to fix and upgrade them. They were her way of trying to prove she could be useful.

If she was being completely honest anyways. She made them for herself. Emiri was a lot of things, selfish being one of them. She had hoped the sports festival would be a way to get herself out and into the hero course. That had backfired on her. She had been kept in the support course. She remembered going home and being so angry at herself that she cried.

Another reasoning to believe she'd be nothing more than a cat.

She knew no matter what she did, she wouldn't be much more than a gadget and tech creator for heroes. For the people who had what she didn't. It honestly only fueled her anger. She wanted to scream, yell, throw everything. That's what she wanted to do every time she was reminded of her place.
