A light, yet slightly cold breeze was blowing outside of the school building, causing a few leaves of the trees which were standing next to the school yard to fall off one by one to the ground, and to the school benches and tables at which some students were sitting and chitchatting.

While others were enjoying this small lunch break in between the stressful school lessons, Yeji was mostly running through the whole school building to fulfill her duties as the student council president while getting help from some members of the student council.

Finally, after finishing off with most of the duties, they were allowed to get a short break in which Yeji went back to the student council room to check how the preparations and organizations were doing the remaining members should have taken care of while Yeji's group helped the teachers.

"You really don't know your limits, Hwang Yeji. Are you never getting tired?"

Immediately, after entering the destined room, Yeji was confronted by her best friend, scolding the older girl as Lia approached her. Lia folded her arms, but she was rather talking in a worried tone than in an annoyed one if you listen carefully and closely to her voice.

"Is that how you are supposed to greet me? No hey, no nothing? Alright, I guess." Yeji joked around, plastering a smile on her face. "Nice to meet you too, Lia."

Even though, just a second ago the oldest had a tired expression, and drops of sweat sliding down her forehead were visible too because of moving back and forth for half an eternity, especially after entering the secretariat and the teachers' room multiple times, causing the older girl to already lose count of it.

Usually, Yeji was only given paper work by the teachers to handle and discuss the results with the other student council members, but then there're also times like this one in which it came down to being hectic with the tasks.

"I'm being serious, you can't even take care of yourself without someone looking out for you."

"I'm perfectly fine." Yeji shrugged off, though she deeply appreciated the younger's concern.

"Perfectly fine, my ass. Look at you, Yeji-ah." And of course, Lia was smart enough to notice the older's condition. Being concerned about it, she called Yeji out as she slowly scanned the older girl throughly from head to toe.

"Oh, please. Don't talk to me as if I'm a child. You're exaggerating again."

As Yeji averted her eyes from her best friend, she walked up to the sink to wash her hands since they got dirty from the dust of the bags she carried to the biology room. Yeji reassured. "Listen, I know you are worried about me, but it's not my first time being busy because of my responsibilities. Don't worry, Lia."

"Right." A sarcastic tone in Lia's voice was audible, as she uttered her short response.

Honestly, Yeji was telling the truth. After all, she already got selected as the president in her second year at high school since she was a member of the student council as a freshman, but also her excellent grades in academics and her kind, humble and hard-working personality lead up to this event. So, many people, especially her seniors were convinced she would do a good job as a leader. They trusted her, and Yeji was proud of it, continuing her second year as the president.

Lia fished out a towel out of her bag she would usually use for the sports lesson later in the afternoon, but instead handed it to Yeji now. "Here. Is your group done with everything?"

"No, not yet. But, fortunately it looks like it won't take that long anymore." Gratefully accepting the towel, Yeji dried her hands and wiped off the sweat on her face properly. Then she ran a clean hand through her messy hair, trying to fix it as she stared at her reflection in the mirror hanging above the sink.
