chapter nine

For some Christmas should be a lovely time but for me and my family it's all work my dad is missing till around noon and my mom is on the phone constantly and although there are plenty of gifts under the tree for me it does not make me happy and I found out that my "wonderful" mother is cheating on my father and even though he is not around I don't really agree with it especially because she is pregnant with my fathers baby at least I hope so or maybe I do not I don't know if I want them to stay together but I know what my father does for a living wouldn't be safe for a baby to go through because I had to when I was little ,and soon my father will want me to take over the "business" but this is not my decision because it is my mother's body so it will be her choice.

"Brandon".I hear Damon and Mike say simultaneously from outside of my house and I knew it was because I was already ten minutes late to getting outside to head to the Christmas party that is at Damon's girlfriends house after Mike had to cancel it at his house because his parents scheduled renovations last minute so Damon's girlfriend decided she could just host it.

While running down stairs I see the time 5:15 pm meaning my father has been out later than every other Christmas and I also see my mother's car is missing meaning on Christmas my family couldn't even fake a being a family.

"Brandon so nice of you to finally join us"Mike says with a smartass smile lingering in his words.

"Yea yea whatever let's just get this over with".I say this with a hint of an asshole tone because I really don't fell like going .I hate seeing everyone so happy with their significant other while you and I don't even have each other and quite frankly I'd rather just be in my room with a book blasting Arctic monkeys while being pissed at my family.

"You're not going to be zoned out all night Brandon"Damon said with a demanding tone.

"Why can't I be".I say back quickly.

"Because it is not good for you to always be zoned out we understand that your family li-"

"Can we not talk about my dysfunctional family".I had interrupted rudely.

After nothing else being said besides music played in the background we had finally arrived to Damon's girlfriend Amarias house and we all got out the car and headed inside.

"Hey babe"Amaria said in a annoying high pitched tone that made me want to cut off my ears,a bit dramatic I know but i could tell I wasn't the only one who felt that way by the look Mike gave me and I decided just to leave the group and walk inside to see everyone partying and already drunk at only 6 pm.

"Brandonnn"I hear her slurred seductive voice behind me.

"What the hell do you want Jenna?"I say in a very annoyed tone.

"Oh come on sweetheart y-".I cut her off before she could could even finish."You are not allowed to call me that Jenna you lost that right when you cheated on me after a year of dating".To be honest I'm over her so I don't know why I was so pissed but I decided instead of continuing I just left and headed out the door after only a few minutes of being their I already wanted to leave and so I did I walked the whole way back home and just decided to write my daily letter to you.
