Eleven hours later and I still sat wide awake, tapping my fingers nervously against my leg as I watched the plane land.

The plane bounced slightly as the wheels make contact with the ground before continuing smoothly. I sigh quietly, looking out at the scenery as the plane slows down, getting ready to come to a complete stop.

I slip my earphones out of my ears, closing them in their case as I look over to see Ella still fast asleep next to me. I smile down at her, happy she was able to sleep, when I could do everything but sleep.

Of course it was a bit annoying, but those three boys have been on my mind, well the two in particular.

For majority of the flight, I kept wracking my brain for things to say to Alex, but nothing seemed sufficient enough for the way I treated him and pushed him away.

The other boy, I didn't even know where to start and I couldn't bring myself to think about it anymore while I was constantly worrying about my best friend and whether he was okay or not.

The pilots voice sounds throughout the plane as he announces the same thing that I've heard on the last two flights. I tap Ella lightly on her shoulder to wake her up, watching as her eyes flutter open before sitting up completely.

"We've landed." I smile at her, noticing the way her smile widens and her eyes light up with excitement. "Welcome to LA, El."

"I'm way more excited than I should be right now." She says with wide eyes and I can't help but laugh when she lets out a yawn, contradicting herself. "I promise I am. The flight was just tiring."

"Tell me about it, at least I'll be able to sleep tonight."

"On behalf of LA Airlines and the entire crew, I'd like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the near future. Have a lovely afternoon!"

"Are you ready to go?" I nod my head after grabbing my bag from the overhead bin, following Ella out of the plane before the two of us make our way into the airport terminal.

Despite having a lot on my mind, I could tell Ella was nervous as the two of us grab our luggage from the pulley system.

"El, you good?" I stand still for a second as I turn to face her.

"I know I shouldn't be, but I'm nervous. What if Reggie doesn't actually want me here?" She bites her lip nervously as she plays with the handle of her luggage. "What do I even look like right now?!"

"Trust me, I know Reggie and he is going to be so happy that you're here!" I smile warmly, hoping to reassure her. "How about you run to the bathroom while I go out there and then you two can have your moment."

She blushes and shakes her head in denial as I wink at her, laughing softly.

"Okay, wait, put your bag on here and I'll take it with me." After placing all our bags onto the luggage carrier, Ella rushes to the bathroom as I walk out the boarding sector.

I let my eyes run across all the people waiting around until my eyes land on Reggie. As soon as his gaze meets mine, I walk up to him, watching his eyes visibly lighten up with a big smile across his face.

"Roomie! I can't believe you're finally back, I missed you so much." I immediately let go of the trolley, wrapping my arms around him as he pulls me into him.

"I missed you too Reg. I shouldn't have left for so long." I say pulling back from the hug. After living with him for so long, you'd be surprised how much of an impact it had being away for just a few weeks.

"You ready to go?" He asks, moving to take the luggage trolley, making me step in front of him.

"I've got a surprise for you first." I can't help but giggle at the way his eyes light up like a child at my words.

"Really? Ooh, did you bring me one of those little red telephone key rings?"

"Something like that Reg, turn around for a second." I say, tilting my head, gesturing for him to look behind him where Ella had walked up silently as I spoke to Reggie.

He immediately spins around on his heal, almost losing balance by how fast he spun around.

"Elz?" I could hear the happiness in his voice as he quickly wrapped his arms around her, encasing her in a hug.

"Hi Reginald." She teases him, making him laugh but not let go of her yet.

I walk back slightly, giving them time to take each other in for the first time in person. I look around at all the people reuniting with their friends and family and I can't help but feel upset at the fact that Alex wasn't here.

After I booked the tickets for us, I asked Reggie if he could pick me up from the airport, obviously not mentioning Ella coming along too.

Usually I would always ask Alex to pick me up from the airport, but after everything, I know I need to speak to him in person. Apologizing over the phone just to ask him to pick me up wasn't right in the slightest.

Eventually, It all worked out well, which I'm happy about, but I know if I did have to call Alex, he would have been here to fetch me without a doubt, no matter how angry he was at me or much he didn't want to see me.

My thoughts only suck me deeper into the sadness but the sound of Reggie calling me snaps me out of my head.

"Thank you for the surprise." He says smiling at me before whispering the last part into Ella's hair close to her ear. "Best surprise ever!"

"Don't thank me, I didn't do anything." I say laughing as the two of them shake their head in disagreement.

"Okay, ready to go Roomie?" Reggie asks, grabbing onto the luggage cart despite our disputes.

"Let's go."
