Chapter 6

It was now the day of the Halloween dance and I was so excited, so I hurried and left the house and walked to school without realizing I was 30 minutes early.

I got into the parking lot and just saw johnny by his dirt bike. He was leaning up against it and smiled when he saw me. I went by him and smiled brightly.

"What are you doing here so early?" I asked Johnny. "I could ask you the same thing." He smirked. I watched as he leaned against his dirt bike that his arm muscles were showing and I got butterflies... again.

"I didn't know I was so early, I am just excited about the dance tonight." I said. Johnny ran his fingers through his hair... which was hot.

"Oh yeah the dance is tonight. I could pick you up if you want." He said. I leaned against a light post behind me. "That would be great, then I wouldn't have to go with my cousin." I smiled.

"What are you going as?" He said. I giggled to myself at how boring my costume was. "I know it's basic, but an angel, it was a last minute plan."

"Well me and the guys are dressing up as skeletons, that's pretty basic too." We both started laughing.

"Well Daniel is going as a shower, so I'll take an angel or a skeleton over that any day." I giggled. I caught Johnny staring at me and I bit my lip.

I pushed down my feelings for him, we were finally getting along and we might ruin our friendship if I admit to liking him.

All of a sudden the guys came in with their dirt bikes and parked by us. "I'll see you later, I'm going to go finish up some homework on the bleachers." I said. "Bye, Jordyn."

As I walked away I heard the guys joking around with him about liking me and I couldn't help but get butterflies.

After school, Sally drove me home and I started getting ready for the dance. I got my costume on and put on a little more makeup than usual.

I made sure my hair was good and then I played some music and started singing with my hair brush and jumping on my bed.

"Oh girls they wanna have fun, oh girls just wanna have fun...It's all they really want." I started to sing but my mom rushed in. I got scared and fell off my bed. All of a sudden Johnny came into the room.

I quickly fixed my headband that had my halo attached to it and stood up and fixed my outfit. I got really embarrassed and my face got red. My mom smiled and left.

"I'm so sorry." I said as I kicked some dirty clothes under my bed. "Don't be." Johnny walked over to me and grabbed a tampon package that was on the ground.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I grabbed it from him and threw it in the trash. I got so nervous I felt like crying. "Don't say sorry so much, it's ok." He said. I blushed and smiled.

"But... Can you do my skeleton makeup? I tried to do it at my house, but it's harder than it looks." He said.

I grabbed his small makeup halloween kit from him and grabbed a chair. "Of course, now sit." I giggled as he sat down in the chair.

I opened the Palette and dabbed the brush that he gave me into it. I painted his whole face white, and his eyes were on mine the whole time, but I tried not to pay attention to it or else I would mad blush.

Then, I put some powder on his face so it didn't look blotchy and then painted around his eyes and mouth black. I dipped the brush in white once again and painted the teeth.

"Perfect." I giggled as he opened his eyes. He looked into my eyes and I got nervous and I backed a way a little bit.

He stood up and looked at the corner of My bed. " I didn't even notice that, you still have that teddy bear?" He laughed and looked at it. "Yeah, It's so cute." I giggled.
