Haida tried his best to enjoy his time at the waterpark. He wasn't used to this though so it was difficult for him to relax and actually have fun.
He realized he actually liked swimming. It wasn't as insufferable as he'd guessed; it was fun. Though he didn't like the chlorinated pool water as it smelled and made his hair feel stiff and straw like.
Sitting at the edge of the pool he moved his legs back and fourth with his feet in the cool water. He was a tad startled as someone joined him sitting beside him. Tamaki Suoh.. "You scared me." He grumbled with a pout.
"Huh? I'm scary?" Tamaki questioned with a hurt expression. "You're so cruel, Haida!" He whined puffing out his cheeks like a child having a tantrum. "And I was worried about you! What a cold heartless soul you have!" He continued to ramble.
Haida couldn't contain his smile nor his laugh. "You're funny, Senpai. You always act like you have no care in the world." He muttered kicking up some water to watch the splash. "I wish I could be that carefree."
Tamaki didn't respond for a moment which tempted Haida to glance over but he wasn't expecting such a serious expression on Tamaki's face; it looked out of place honestly. "You're quick to judge people Haida. Not everyone is vocal with their problems."
Haida shrugged his shoulders. "Sorry. I didn't mean to undermine your pain, Senpai." He apologized, though he was curious about what Tamaki could be struggling with in such a pampered privileged life as his. "You're an extraordinary person. A dumb airhead.." He smirked when he saw the offended face Tamaki pulled. "But a good person. I'm jealous of you."
Tamaki was obviously trying to decide whether he should be flattered or offended as Haida both complimented and insulted him all in one breath. "But you're a good person too Haida." He finally decided on saying instead.
"Nah. I'm not." Haida argued shaking his head in disagreement. "I'm far from good. The complete opposite actually." He added vaguely a broken pained sigh followed. Haida knew he wasn't good; it was as Akito had always said he was a despicable awful monster. Unlike the other zodiac's he was a mistake. Yet Akito still loved him.. loved him lots.. more then anyone else ever would. Right?
"Don't worry about me, Senpai. Seriously. I don't need you wasting what brain cells you have left thinking about me." Haida snickered playfully with a grin patting the lost king on the head at his confused expression.
"Haida! We want you to come with us on the water slide!" The twins requested in unison showing up behind them suddenly. "Haruhi said no.. but she's no fun like you." They added.
Haida hummed as he stood up slowly. "Fine. I'll give it a try. I've never been on a water slide before." He agreed walking with the twins as they headed for the water slide.
"We'll all ride on a float together!" They exclaimed in a singsong voice as they carried the float up the staircase to the top of the slide. Haida followed behind them much less excited in comparison.
They all piled onto the float Haida in between them. He was a little intimidated as he stared down at the long dark tunnel of the slide; his mind unhelpfully reminding him how high up they were. It would be a long drop.. but the twins were excited and Haida would be embarrassed to chicken out now.
But then again.. his heart felt like it was in his throat and his palms suddenly felt sweaty. He was afraid. "W-Wait..-" He began to object and change his mind but before he could finish Hikaru had already pushed them off and the float lunged forward with the water down the slide.
The breeze and fast movement was jostling and Haida felt terror rise in him as he screamed and grappled for safety clinging to both of the twins arms with a vice like grip.
