Luka
"Sass, scales rest." I say once I get back from my meeting with Ladybug. Sass is released from my bracelet, and it morphs back into camouflage mode.
Ever since I was entrusted with the snake miraculous, and therefore Sass, I'd taken to keeping a small stash of snacks in the drawer next to my bed. For the first little while it had been really awkward, trying to come up with excuses in order to transform, since I still shared a room with my sister. But after a few well thought up excuses my mom moved Juleka to her own room, and Sass no longer has to hide essentially 24/7.
"Master Luka, I was under the impression that you felt for your friend Marinette?"
I glance at my kwami, handing him a piece of macaroon that Marinette herself had made for Juleka and me. "I do."
"Then why did you go on that date with Ladybug tonight Master?" He takes the piece and eats it, settling on my palm when I offer my hand to him.
I laugh. "That wasn't a date Sass, she just wanted love advice. Besides, I have a suspicion about her true identity."
"Who do you think she is?" He asks curiously, not knowing her identity either, as it had been Master Fu who gave me my miraculous, not Ladybug.
"I think that it's possible that Ladybug is Marinette. It fits in with what she told me about the boys she likes too. The one who's in love with another girl is Adrien, the one who admitted his feelings to her is me."
"And the third?"
"I don't know. But it doesn't matter. I'm not gonna test further to see if I'm right. It wouldn't be fair to her."
"Good idea Master." Sass smiles at me. I smile and lean over to grab my guitar.
"Well Sass, what should I play?"
"Whatever your heart says. Music from the heart is always the most beautiful tune." He flies up to sit on my shoulder so I have both hands free to play. But when I go to start playing, I realize my heart isn't as sure as before.
Because a small thought in the back of my head asks if I'm wrong, and Ladybug and Marinette are completely different people.
Because my heart cares for both of them.
If they aren't the same person, that leaves my heart undecided.
