(short A/N: this picks up after Miracle Queen and is set in a universe where Master Fu gave Luka the snake miraculous permanently. So Marinette doesn't know Viperion's secret Identity. The rest of the Miraculous remain the same (Marinette knows who they are and they're only temporary))
Marinette
"That was the fifth akuma attack this week!" I complain to Tikki, running back to class, late as usual. Unfortunately, in my haste to get back to my seat, I trip on one of the steps and fall to the floor, bringing about a loud round of laughter from Chloe and Sabrina, and a near-silent snicker from Lila. Both sounds cut off when Adrien walks over to offer me a hand up.
"Are you okay Marinette?" He asks after helping me up and letting go of my hand.
I blush and just nod, not trusting myself to speak without stammering, which would just embarrass me further. He smiles at me and nods before going back to his own seat, allowing me to take my own seat next to Alya.
"Girl you are a mess. Are you alright? You're always late but this week it's been even crazier than usual." She asks me under her breath while Ms Bustier starts the lesson.
I give her a light smile and nod. "I'm alright. Just confused."
She grins, knowing what I mean. "Have you decided yet?"
I blush and think of the two boys that have been battling back and forth in my head for weeks now. Adrien, the perfect boy, my first crush, and Luka, kindhearted and caring to everyone he meets. I blush even more when I remember Luka's confession.
"Luka? Did you really mean all those things you said while you were akumatized?"
"I'm sorry Marinette, but I don't remember. What did I say?"
"O-Oh! It's nothing. You were possessed by Hawk Moth's Akuma."
"I don't know what I possibly could've said. just hope it wasn't anything mean, because you're the most extraordinary girl Marinette. As clear as a musical note and as sincere as a melody. You are the music that's been playing in my head since the first day we met."
I shake my head ever so slightly to make myself focus on the class.
"No I haven't decided, but they have choices too." I say eventually, remembering Alya's question.
She smiles and puts a hand on my shoulder. "You're right."

After school, I get a call from Rose asking if I can go over to the Liberty and help with some designs for Kitty Section. Seeing as I don't have much homework, and Hawk Moth akumatized someone already this morning, I agree and start heading over to the Seine.
"Hey Tikki, about Adrien and Luka.. what do you think I should do?" I ask while I walk.
Tikki's head peeks out of my bag, looking up at me. "They're both very nice boys, Marinette. But I don't wanna give you the wrong advice, I can't tell you what your heart wants."
I sigh but nod, she's right after all. "Thanks Tikki."
"You can always ask Viperion or Cat Noir," she adds. "They're human and probably know how you feel."
"True, but isn't it mean to ask Cat Noir for love advice when I know he's in love with me? Well, Ladybug anyway."
"Then ask Viperion!"
Our conversation is cut off by Rose running over to me and grabbing my hand, dragging me onto the ship.
"Rose! Calm down!" I laugh, though not fighting her.
"Come on Marinette! H- We're all waiting for you!" She grins
She led (read: dragged) me into the ship.
"Now close your eyes!" she grins, bouncing up and down, I tilt my head but do as she tells me to. Once I do, she slowly moves me somewhere in the ship before letting go of me. She doesn't say anything, so I keep my eyes closed and just stay still.
The silence lasts a few minutes before I start to get confused
"Rose?"
When I don't get an answer, I open my eyes to find myself in Luka's room. Luka himself sitting on the bed, looking quite amused.
I groan and bury my face in my hands to hide my blush. "Kitty Section isn't even here are they?"
Luka chuckles. "Well Juleka and I are here since we live here and Rose was luring you here for some unknown reason, so three of the four of us are."
I groan and lean against the wall, opening my eyes to look at him. He just smiles at me and picks up his guitar, playing a soft tune similar to the one he played when we first met. I blush and move to sit on the edge of his bed, just listening quietly.
"How are things with Adrien?" Luka asks after a little while, making me jump.
"Oh uh alright." I shrug, trying to just be nonchalant. I don't wanna end up sobbing into his shirt like last time. He smiles, as if he remembers that time as well, and just repeats what he said to me that day near my house.
"You can tell me anything, or nothing if you prefer."
