It didn't really matter whether you hurried or not, because of delays you spent the majority of the day wandering around the airport anyway. You and Chris went to a small café close to your terminal for lunch where a few fans noticed Chris. He took a couple of photos with them, chatted about his new movies and signed one of the guys arms. Chris genuinely loves his fans and he would do anything for them. You can really see that he loves his fans just as much as they love him.

At one point a little boy wearing a Captain America t-shirt approached the table and patted Chris on the leg. "Excuse me Mr, are you Captain America?" The boy must have only been four or five and he stared up at Chris in wonder. Chris scooted his chair out and said, "Yeah buddy I sure am?" He was so excited he jumped on Chris giving him a huge hug. Chris picked the boy up and sat him on his lap. "So what's your name?"Chris asked."My name is Shaun" he said proudly. "Well Shaun, do you see your mummy or dad?" He asked, Shaun pointed to a table nearby and Chris stood up, holding Shaun, who had a huge grin on his cute little face. Chris returned Shaun to his worried looking parents; apparently he tends to wander off a lot. It was the cutest thing you had ever seen.

Seeing Chris with Shaun brought all of your feelings for him to the surface. Your irrational infatuation with the man had just doubled in size. Why was he so charming and good looking and amazing with kids? Why was the man perfect? "Sorry about that." Chris apologised, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. Ohh another one of his cute little habits, why dear God why? "No no don't apologise, it's no problem." You rush to reassure him its fine, honestly it was. It had been kind of awkward since the two of you left your apartment. This lead you to the swift conclusion that Chris definitely heard your conversation about feelings and sleeping with him with Mona as he came in the apartment. You had blown the whole weekend before the two of you were even stuck on the plane. Great job! "I really love playing around with the younger fans. They're so sweet. Hanging out with them, it really makes me want to hurry up and settle down so that I have kids of my own." Without filtering your thoughts from your head to your mouth you said, "That's not surprising, I think you'd make a really good dad." He shot you a smile and finished his lunch.

After an afternoon of waiting in the airport your flight was finally boarding and conversation since lunch hadn't exactly been stimulating. After you were both seated, in first class, obviously I mean come on, the guys Captain America, you were surprised you were on a regular flight and not like his own personal jet or something, you ordered a glass of champagne. The theory was that it would calm your flying jitters and help you relax with Chris. Eventually after even more delays landing, you got into Houston just after midnight.

After a long day of delays and an awkward flight you were so ready to crash and sleep for a good eight hours. By the time you arrived at the hotel it was 1am and both you and Chris were fed up of travelling.

"Can I help you sir?" the woman behind the counter asked. "Yes, I have a reservation for Evans. Sorry we're late checking in, our flight was delayed," he apologised. "That's fine Mr Evans, So we've got the penthouse apartment with the Queen?" Oh shit, are you kidding me, is there only one bed? Chris turns to you with an apologetic look on his face. "Y/N I'm so sorry, I didn't have enough time yesterday to change the booking. Dammit!" A penthouse apartment...with Chris...for the weekend....nope there was no way you could handle that. "Are there any other rooms available, or any spare beds we could have? I could pay in cash for the trouble," Chris offered, but his face fell when the woman told him they were fully booked for the weekend. Just wanting to get some sleep you offered to take the couch, "I mean its two nights, I can deal with two nights on a couch." Honestly you still weren't certain you could handle being in such close quarters with Chris, however in the interest of sleep you would just have to find a way to deal for now. "Yeah I'm sure it'll be fine!" Chris said way too flippantly. It was like he couldn't stand to be near you any longer. God that was depressing.

You took your key cards and found the apartment. It had a magnificent view and was very high end, but again you wouldn't expect any less from Chris. "Ok, we might be sharing this apartment but I'M sleeping on the couch, what kind of a gentleman would I be if I let the lady sleep on the couch while I take the bed?" You took one look at his stubborn yet charming expression and knew he wouldn't budge on his decision. But the was fine, you didn't have the energy to argue for now and drifted into a dreamless sleep on the bed.
