I kept hugging him, trying to get his focus on something else. Nothing. Not one little glance up. I sighed and dropped my arms.

"I'm gonna go out here with Tom and Joey," I said pointing to the door as I stood up slowly. He still wouldn't look up! I started slowly backing towards the door, then grabbed the handle.

"I love you..." I rolled around the door so only my head was poking in. He didn't say anything back.

"So... What's with... What happened?" Tom asked.

I was going to tell him the truth, but I sweetened it instead. "Oh you know, just another brotherly fight!" I smiled. I knew they didn't buy it, but I could hope right?

"Do you want to tell us the truth or do-" Joey said standing up from the old, rickety couch.

"Where did he go?" I yelled over him.

"Who? Joe? You're gonna run after him again?!" Tom asked shocked, now standing beside Joey.

"Where might he have gone? Please, I need to fix this. Whatever it is!" I said dismissing his questions.

"Check the Hard Rock on 7th avenue. You can't miss it. It's his normal hiding place. But I don't- " Tom said stepping closer towards me.

"Thank you!" I said running towards the door, when Tom came up behind me and grabbed me by the arm. "What?"

"What do you want me to tell Steven if he falls back to Earth?" He asked.

"The truth. I want him to come after me. That way him and Joe can work this shit out!" I hugged him and then slammed the door. Not because I was mad, but to get Steven's attention. I stood with my ear pressed against the door trying to hear if he came out. Silence.

With a sigh I ran down the stairs and towards the café.
