What May Be The Best Poem I've Ever Written

I see two figures up ahead

both beautiful, both powerful.

One promises me the moon,

if I choose him.

The other promises me the sun

whether I love him or not.

For the light one loves me,

no matter what.

While the dark one will only pretend,

to love me back.

For to him, I am nothing,

but an object, a single star,

in the great universe.

But to the other,

I am the universe.

The dark one,

shadowed,

promises me the moon,

the stars, the night sky.

The light one,

surrounded by moonlight,

promises me the sun,

the dawn and dusk.

He also promises me,

the one thing the other cannot give,

his love.

Forever.
