Some Kind of Test

I approach the rickety building in full view of the full moon's light . Moving closer I notice my new team mates standing at the entrance. "Ello F/n , How did your end go?" Seras asked . I placed my gun back into my holster . " The perimeter has been cleared , We are free to enter and continue the mission ." I reply . She smiled at me making my cheeks to redden slightly . Alucard sighed and opened the door to the building . "Human's first ."  I nod and draw my gun , holding it at the ready . As I walked in the door slammed shut , I glanced back "Guys ....What are you - " I was cut off by growls . I turned to see the source of the noise, A group of vampires had me in their sights . " Shit ..." 

Sera's pov 

"Uhh master , he is alone in the middle of a horde of vampires . We need to help him ." I said , Alucard smiled at her "We will , once we see what he is made of. If he is on our team , he needs to be able to help us at our weakest moments . If he can't  handle it ,then it's not our fault ." he explained   , I nod and hold my ear to the door to listen . 

F/n pov 

" Ok , the door is locked  vampires are coming for me and I am alone ...wait they could brake the door down ....This is on purpose . " I growl as I make the first move shooting one of the vampires in the head causing it to explode . The group of vampires came at me , I went to fire but my foot busted through the decrepit floor causing me to miss.  As the first vampire comes at me it tackles me to the ground , I pull out my knife that I blessed myself and stabbed it in the temple . This instantly killed it , I rolled it off me and tried to get up but my foot was still stuck "Fuck ." I mutter , I hammer the floor boards to break enough  for me to pull my foot out . Suddenly I was grabbed from the back and pulled up by another vampire . Now that I was free I push kicked it sending him back slightly , I took my knife and slammed it into its neck and sliced it off .   

I turned and ran towards the first group and jump into the air and fire off a few rounds , causing them to rear back . When I landed I began to slice necks until my hand was grabbed and the knife was taken out of my hand  and tossed out of the window . The vampire that did it smiled "What now ??!!"  . I rolled my eyes and shot him in the head killing him , after he fell I reloaded and walked towards the remaining vampires . I crack my neck and sigh as I reach for the vials in my coat pocket and toss them in the air , shooting them shattered them and sent the holy water towards the last of the vampires . When it splashed onto them , they screamed as their skin began to burn and bubble . I take my gun and head shot the last of them , I wait a minute to see if anymore were going to jump out  . I slowly walk to the front door and knock on it " Ok...vampires are dead ." I say with snark , The door slowly opens revealing Alucard and Seras hiding behind him avoiding me  , I roll my eyes " I'm going on ahead , feel free to help out at anytime ."" I say sarcastically as I walk away  heading to the stairs . 

Seras pov 

I avoided looking at F/n since master locked him in the house alone  against the group of vampires . After he left I looked at the vampires dead on the floor , then glance at master who had a smile on hos face . " Master , if you don't mind me asking what are you smiling at ?" I ask , he turned and looked in the direction of F/n " Walter found a very capable protégé , He may become very formable in the near future ." he began to walk towards the stairs  ." He really did take them down relatively quickly ." I thought to myself .

F/n pov

 I walk quietly but quickly up the stairs surveying the surroundings . I ease myself into the top floor hallway and look up and down both sides . " Clear so far ." I think to myself . Slowly scanning room to room I find nothing , but something feels off . I turn around and stare at one section of space , Seras walks in front of the spot and it clicks "Seras ,down!" as I shout it she dives and I fire at the spot seemingly shattering an illusion and shooting a vampire in the arm . "How did you see me ?"   he snarled , I rolled my eyes " Fuck you that's how." I take another shot and he dodges it and goes after Seras . "Do it again and I'll kill her ." he shouted , I tried to hold back a chuckle "Think so huh ?" I ask antagonizing him and looking at Seras , she gives me a small nod  as I toss down my gun , while the vampire watched this  Seras broke free of the grip and twisted around and punched the vampires head clean off .  I stare wide eyed and amazed "No way to get ahead in life ." I said with a smirk. 

Time skip 

As we arrived back to the manor I head to the shooting range before anything else . After a few minutes Walter arrived , I didn't notice him at first due to focusing on the grouping of my paper target . After I emptied the gun he spoke "Hello F/n , successful mission I assume . Considering how Seras was blown away on how you handled so many on your own ." he said with a chuckle , I nod "Yea, I did ok but I missed more then I hit when it came to shooting , I just need to put in more hours training ." I explain , Walter smiled softly " Perfection is an adramble goal for anyone to reach ,but you've only just started so please come with me  I'd like to show you something ." he said as he began to walk away . I holstered my gun and followed . 

After some traversing we arrived at a room separate from the others in the manor. "Please come in and do mind your shoes F/n , I just cleaned the carpet . " he said kindly . I nod an take off my shoes and follow Walter into the room. The smell of cigarettes overwhelmed the air , As I look around I notice it is a bedroom . "As you may have noticed F/n this is my room , I wanted to have a heart to heart with you privately. " he said as he sat in an armchair and motioned for me to sit in the one opposite to him . I sit down and look to him eagerly waiting for him to talk . "As you may have noticed from the training , I am not the average butler . I was once a vampire hunter , a very good one if you don't mind me boosting a bit . " he said with a smile , My eyes sparkling in excitement " Really Walter , you must be good if you are working for Hellsing  ." I say amazed . He nodded " Indeed F/n , So seeing how I am not getting any younger I have had a thought . Would you like it if I took you under my wing full time , teach you the ways of vampire hunting ? " He looked at me with a neutral face  . I look at him shocked " W....Walter , I would love that . As long as it doesn't cause you any trouble ." I say with a smile , he returned it and stood up . "Good , now a few rules . Firstly you are to refer to me as Sir , You are now my charge and proper respect must be given . Second  I tell you to do something, you jump to it without any questions . Third you will only fight with deadly force when Sir Integra or myself deem it so .Do we have an agreement F/n ?" he asked holding out his hand , I smile and take his hand "Yes sir ." I say excited .  He gave me a dark look "Good , personalized boot camp  for you starts in two days .....so pack to be gone for a few weeks ." he says smirking . I nod "Yes sir , I will do that right away ." I say giving a slight bow and leaving the room . 

Time skip 

As I am packing my suit case I hear a knock at the door . I walk over and open it revealing   Seras looking at the ground , I leave the door open and motion for her to enter . I walk back to my suitcase and continue packing . She walks in slowly " So Seras how can I help you ?" I ask not taking my focus from my clothes . "Well I wanted to aplogi-." she notices me packing "Wha....are you leaving , I hope this isn't because of the mission ." she says looking at me with concern . I shake my head "Nah Walter wants to personally train me so we are leaving for a few weeks . "  I explain , she nods and takes a breath of relief . I look at her questionably " Why , do you ask ?" I say playfully. she chuckles nervously "Well I wanted to apologize for sending you in alone , Master wanted to make sure you were skilled enough to watch our backs in an extreme situation  , so he locked the door ." she explained . I nod " Makes since, Knowing what a team member is capable of is helpful in the long run . No hard feelings alright ."I said with a smile . She blushed slightly and smiled "Good ....so See you when you get back , maybe hang out a bit if that's ok ?" she asked , I look at her "Sure that sounds fun , as long as I survive camp with Walter . " 

She sighed " Well I should be off , talk to you later F/n ." she said turning and walking away out of the room . I laugh slightly "She's fun ." I think to myself .
